RESEARCH DONE BY ANALYST AT MIT REVEALS WHATS BEHIND MANY OF THE RECENT UFO SIGHTINGS OVER CHINA

Those probably were not UFOs that hovered over China recently, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology analyst said. The images of the UFOs have caused quite a stir in China and on blogs around the world. But many of the images appear to be faked with the software program Photoshop and the ones that were not faked seem to depict the launch of a Chinese ballistic missile, said Gfrey Forden, an MIT weapons analyst.

Forden, who also specializes in Russian and Chinese space systems, published his analysis on a blog called "Arms Control Wonk."

I've been rantinga about the following for years -- on the semantics of terms like "multiverse" etc. Seems Durham has issues with this as well:

By far my favorite pseudo-discovery of science was this past year, when scientists asserted they had discovered "another universe". If you think about this, it's hilarious if only on a semantic level. Any idiot knows that the word "universe" means everything, everywhere. You can't have more than one EVERYTHING. Parallel universes may exist in the same physical space, but they are part of everything, even then. No, what these childish oracles are really saying is this: "We're saying we discovered a whole other universe because we're rather embarrassed that we have been saying for years that we have been able to quantify, map and assert that our universe is finite." In other words, its all a diversion from the fact that THEY WERE WRONG AND THE UNIVERSE IS MUCH BIGGER THAN THESE SHALLOW LINEAR THINKING PRIMATES THOUGHT.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Be still my beating heart!

I'm just going to jump around in non-linear anti-structure fashion and post tidbits from his article. Like this:

Some things just are. And because one chooses not to believe in a certain thing does not confer non-existence upon it. I don't know why people can't get that through their head.

Now before some "smock jockey" gets all smarmy and all, thinking that "Pink unicorns don't exist or do they just because I choose not to believe in them?" get real. That said, note Durham said "some" and use your head, we all know what he's talking about.

(I love the term "smock jockey" -- new one for me. I'm going to be using that one.)

Back to universes and UFOs and such:

To simply dismiss the unknown because you haven't personally experienced it is an arrogance that is both pathetic and poignant at the same time. As an example, ask yourself this: how many credible, sane eyewitnesses does it take to convict someone of murder in this country? One? Two? Hundreds of thousands of people have seen UFO's, the majority of whom were sane, credible and some were trained observers. Yet this is discarded out of hand. This makes no sense. None. Let me say again: simply because you choose not to believe in something does not confer non-existence upon it. Things just may not depend on your belief to exist. Imagine that. And even if UFO's are not machines from another world, no scientist would say that there are no unidentified objects seen in the sky, no matter what they were. UFO means: unidentified flying object. It doesn't mean: Holy crap this is an alien ship. I simply means no one knows what it is.

Yes, of course. WE all know that. Problem is, skeptoids have been using, of late, a new weapon in their guerrilla war, and that's the meme that "everyone really knows when we're talking UFOs we mean little green men from outer space." No, we don't. A whole hell of a lot of so-called "believers" don't. I don't. But the pathological skeptic does, or worse, pretends they he/she does, in order to marginalize the UFO phenomena and with it, all its witnesses, investigators, thinkers, researchers and "experiencers." By doing so, there is no need for seriously and honestly looking into the subject. Why bother? It's all just "little green men" fantasy.

Throughout these sections of the novel, Sagan gathered a large amount of testimonials from those who have been abducted by aliens, have spotted UFO, or even seen crops circles due to "alien communication." In doing this, he states all information as if it were true, providing the testimonials, and then disproving them. In disproving them, it was interesting to find that many statements given were part of a hoax. Many of the UFO cases had pictures of small models attached to a noticeable thin thread.Now take the crop circles. In 1991, Doug Bower and Dave Chorley admitted to creating these crop circles on their own for fifteen years! This was just one deception of many. Also, when it comes to UFOs, it was interesting to find just out easily a UFO sighting can be a discredited by a natural phenomena such as unconventional or conventional aircraft, high-altitude balloons, luminescent insects, and optical mirages just to name a few; in fact Sagan names about fifteen situations that could produce a "UFO sighting." Strangest Place On Earth Skinwalker Ranch

UFO's, Orb's, mutilations of animals, disembodied voices, poltergeist activity and invincible creatures, all happening in the same place about 150 miles east of Salt Lake City at near the base of the Uinta mountains at a place called "Skinwalker Ranch". So many strange things have happened in the area that it's thought to be a place which holds an inter-dimensional portal. This area has been known by the Ute Indians for hundreds of years as the "path of the Skinwalkers".In 1994 a family of cattle ranchers named the Gorman's (a pseudonym) moved to this piece of land after it had been abandoned for seven years. They lived there for about 20 months and with in that time they saw many strange things. Such as the first day they arrived on to the ranch as they were unloading their things they noticed a wolf in the distance. The wolf started to walk closer to them from across the field. The wolf seemed very tame, and by the time it got close to they realized it was about the size of a small horse. It then proceeded to lunge at their cat and as it had it in it's mouth Tom (head of the family) grabbed a baseball bat and beat the wolf with it, but it had no effect. He then had his son grab the 357 magnum of the truck and shoot the wolf but it still had no effect. He then grabbed his.30-06 (one of the worlds most powerful hunting rifles) and repeatedly shot this wolf over and over and finally a piece of flesh flew off the animal. It dropped the cat from it's mouth and it headed for the woods. They figured they would go after the wolf and try to kill it, so they followed the tracks until they came to a stop as if it had vanished.After that, all sorts of poltergeist activity's started to happen. Such as one day when the wife went shopping for a weeks worth of grocery's she brought them inside, put them in the cabinets, went to the bathroom and when she came back into the kitchen all of the grocery's were back in the bags. Another time when she was taking a shower with the door closed, she set her towel and brush on the sink and when she got out of the shower they were gone, only to be found later in the freezer and microwave. Or the time when Tom was digging holes to put in a new fence, he stopped for a second to wipe his brow and take a sip of water. When he went back to grab his shovel it was no where to be seen and was found day's later 30 feet up in a tree. As time went on they were hearing disembodied voices lingering above their heads and were seeing shadows move throughout their house. They would also see strange UFO's of all shapes and sizes, and blue Orb's numerous times. One time when he saw one of these orb's when he would normally protect his dog's, this time he was fed up and let his dogs chase the volleyball sized blue orb that was only a few feet from the ground. Every time one of the dogs would lunged at the orb it would move out of the way, so it obviously had intelligence behind it's movements. This orb lead the dogs into the brush far away from the house until Tom heard the loudest screech he had ever heard from all three of his dogs, then it went silent. He was too scared to go down that night and waited until morning where he found three circles of dried grass and in the middle of these circles was left a black gooey residue which he felt was the vaporized remains of his three beloved family/cattle dogs. Another time as they went into town when they got back to their property all four of their most prized bulls were out of the corral. Now within the corral there was a large metal trailer used for storage with only one way in and one way out locked together with a thick wire. On a whim Tom decides to peek into the trailer and low and behold there were his four highly prized bull and locked within the trailer as if they were in a trance. You need to remember that these are huge grand size bulls, It would be a big choir just getting one of these bulls into this trailer. So when he yells over to his wife that the bulls were in the trailer the bulls seem to instantly come out of their trance and start kicking from the inside out of frustration. After 12 of their prize cattle had been mutilated after the twenty months, they could no longer afford to live on the land any longer and moved.The Gorman's sold to the National Institute for Discovery Science or NIDS which was a privately funded science institute engaged in research of UFOs, animal mutilations, paranormal activity and that sort of thing. They still have their domain name but have not been active for years. After about two months they started to see strange UFO's, and Orb's in all sorts of shapes and sizes. It was hard for them to tell if they were physical of this earth or multi-dimensional lights. One of the day a calf had been mutilated in broad daylight 300 yards away from some of the people who were there. When the calf was inspected it was determined that is was cut with a surgical tool. Two day's later, a few of the guy's noticed something high up in a tree, as they got close it looked like two giant eye's and at the same time there was something on the ground that looked like some sort of Bigfoot type creature. They grabbed their guns and shot two round which they were sure hit the creature on the ground. The creature in the tree drops down and they both go running of into the brush. They go chasing after the two creatures and get stopped when they came to one single foot print in the shape of a Pterodactyl. Very odd to say the least. NID's had set up cameras on all over the ranch, one of the cameras was gutted and destroyed and the whole thing was caught on tape by another camera pointing in that same direction, so they thought. When they played back the footage what ever it was, was invisible. They could see the power light go off and cords coming out of the camera but nothing ell's.Skinwalker Ranch has an intelligent force surrounding the area and no conclusions have been made to what's causing the phenomenon's. UFO's, Bigfoot, Poltergeist, cattle mutilations, Indian folklore, all happening in the same spot. What's happening at this 400 acre ranch in northeastern Utah? Some people speculate that all of these phenomenon are related. Open your mind to the possibility that all of this is real. Why would so many people go through such extent just to make a hoax. Attain the mind that can allow you to think freely among the masses and distractions, look around yourself and realize there are things in this world that can not be explained. Later that same afternoon, Symington suddenly called a press conference and told viewers

that he had found the source behind the Phoenix Lights. His chief-of-staff, Jay Heiler, was

escorted in by public safety police officers while handcuffed, wearing a large rubber mask

and dressed as a space alien. The Governor presented the costumed extraterrestrial as the

"guilty party." While laughter filled the room, he joked that "this just goes to show that you

guys are entirely too serious."

"It was an insult to the intelligence of the witnesses," Barwood recalls. "The message to

Arizona citizens was that reporting this was stupid."

"If I had to do it all over again I probably would have handled it differently," Symington

explains. He says that the state of Arizona was "on the brink of hysteria" about the UFO

sighting when he called the press conference, and the frenzy was building. "I wanted them to

lighten up and calm down, so I introduced a little levity. But I never felt that the overall

situation was a matter of ridicule," he says.

The former Governor, a cousin of the late Missouri Senator Stuart Symington, states that the

incident remains open and unsolved, and should be officially investigated. The US

Government has never acknowledged that something was in the sky that night.

Phoenix city councilwoman Frances Barwood was the only elected official to launch a public

investigation in 1997, but she received no information from any level of government. Barwood

spoke with over seven hundred witnesses, including police, pilots and former military, who

provided very similar descriptions. "The government never interviewed even one witness,"

she says.

Symington also attempted to find an explanation. He called the Commander at Luke Air

Force Base, the General in charge of the National Guard, and the head of the Department of

Public Safety in 1997. None of these officials had answers, and they were "perplexed," he

says.

In 2000, the Department of Defense maintained that it could not find any information about

the triangular object, in response to a court-ordered search requested by a U.S. District court

in Phoenix, as part of a class action suit filed by witnesses.

"How could they possibly not know about these huge craft flying low over major population

centers? That's inconceivable, but it's also frightening," Barwood commented.

Symington's announcement is bolstered by the fact that similar flying objects have been

documented by the governments of England and Belgium.

On March 30, 1990, the Belgian Air Force sent two F-16s armed with missiles to intercept a

black triangular UFO displaying bright lights on its underside. The object could accelerate or

dive at tremendous speeds, starting from a stationary position, as recorded on radar. It flew

at the speed of sound without making a sonic boom.

I saw a spiral in the sky @ 5.50am 5 June 2010 Brisbane. It was about the importance of an orange and had a glowing light at the centre and a spiral but it wasn't revolving. It travelled straddling the sky and spent over the horizon after 2 min.

The dawn sky was flat black and sparkler clear. The moon was visable amid no resonate globular it. Stars may well further be seen.

Probably less than twenty or so feet above us. It moved slowly past us and we saw it in extreme detail. Our home was the highest point in our small town, so we really had the best view of it. I had about 10 minutes from the start of the occurrence to the time I could not see it anymore. The round lights on the bottom of the craft had orange (possibly red) lights along the outer edge of each circular light and a white light in the center of each. Occasionally these lights would dim out (sort of pulsating) and you could still see the orange/red lights and they never went off. The craft moved extremely slowly as it went past our home and me and my sister both witnessed it in its entirety. She went downstairs to get a different look at it as it lazily passed (we had sunroofs down there and more bay windows). The craft was incredibly loud, to the point where we were both having to sort of yell at one another from close proximity. The craft was HUGE, from end to end it had to be over a football field in width and length. I have walked through 747's and other large aircraft before. This dwarfed anything I have ever seen. It had details like box shaped outlines of equipment all over the bottom of the aircraft (although my sister had a better view of that from the sunroof), however it was still clear as day. I could make out a small dome-ish structure on the bottom side of the craft between each circle light and a larger dome where on the underside at the very center of the craft. It was visibly much more dark around the center of the aircraft, around the larger dome. Each dome looked like it was made of black glass of some kind. It was very sleek and if it had been another 30 to 40 feet higher I wouldn't have been able to make out the domes as they were not very steep in angle. This craft set off multiple car alarms of neighbors up and down the street due to the rumbling and loud noise. I would equate the noise to standing right next to a jet while it was taking off. However,this thing was traveling so slowly it looked like it was just casually floating on by. Its speed was ridiculously slow and I had a good long look as it passed us by. There was no exhaust of any kind from the large ship. My cats were so startled from it, they ran upstairs and hid under the bed. It flew in a straight line, slightly ascending (however, it's hard to gauge ascension as something is flying directly away). It remained low as it passed over all the other houses and trees. It finally disappeared over off in the distance and I could still hear it's hum after I lost sight of it. When my dad came home from his outing to the grocery store me and my sister told him what we saw, he said he saw something on his way home, but he didn't feel any rumbling or anything. I thought it was strange as there were no emissions coming from it. Me and my sister concluded that it was some sort of military UFO and never really talked about it again, but I think we told ourselves that more for peace of mind then anything else. I don't know what it was and so on that account it is a UFO, however, terrestrial or extraterrestrial is still undetermined. But, based upon my familiarity with known planes and aircraft in the years since then, I know there is nothing that big flying around right now. I've walked right under the wings of some of the largest planes and each V-wing of that craft I saw was something on the scale of four to five times bigger than the biggest craft I know of. I honestly to this day just can't account for something like that in the skies. At that slow of a speed I would expect something to just fall right out of the sky.
