Full Description of event/sighting: We were sat in our living room and looking out through the window when we saw approximately 6 round, glowing objects passing by. We went outside for a closer look and counted approximately 12 in total traveling a little slower than an aircraft, There was no noise in the sky. There was no pattern to their to formation. Some were grouped but some were far apart. We called the local airport to see if they knew anything that would explain what they were but they could be of no assistance. We obtained photos of the objects and a neighbor took video footage.

It appeared quite large in size and had no visible lighting on it. The object was blocking out the stars, which is how she had noticed it to begin with. It appeared to be hovering about 100 feet high over a local school playing field, about half a mile from the coast.The UFO was completely stationary and silent. Tracy was very curious and wondered if it was an ET craft. She watched it from the garden for about 15 minutes. After this time she decided she wanted to get a closer look at it so went inside to fetch her binoculars. Upon her return to the garden, the object had vanished.SIGHTING ANALYSISThere is a good likelihood that this sighting was a genuine sighting of a Flying Triangle, one of the more commonly reported types of UFO. The fact the object remained stationary for 15 minutes means it could not have been a military stealth aircraft or other aircraft. Also if it was an aircraft or helicopter there would have been numerous lights visible on it, but it was completely black. Could it have been a large inflatable of some kind? This again seems unlikely. If it was tethered then it would have remained in the area and not suddenly vanished, and if it was freely drifting the witness would surely have seen it move in the time that she watched it for. It seemed much too large to have been a balloon or radio controlled model.Could it have been a secret military craft of some kind? Perhaps, but again this would surely have had lighting of some kind on it? Also it is unlikely they would fly a craft of this type in a location where it could be freely observed. Even though on this occasion the UFO was not seen to perform any impressive manoeuvres, Flying Triangles have often been seen to perform incredible manoeuvres at stunning speeds which seem far outside our current technological capabilities.It is interesting that the UFO vanished just when the witness went in to get her binoculars. This could well have just been coincidence, but could it be that it was aware it was being observed and decided to leave the area? Today's latest waste of MSM space on UFOs comes from Time.com's M.J. Stepney, who has decided to regale us with his/her - timpani, please - "A Brief History of UFOs." De Void can almost figure out how it happened.

One of the older guys says, "Well, you know, the Air Force got out of the UFO business 40 years ago this month. I mean, if you're desperate..." Nobody's that desperate, but it's either that or the Rolling Stones/Hell's Angels disaster concert at Altamonte Speedway. The fellas tentatively agree UFOs will get more hits than Altamonte. But still. Somebody's gotta actually crank it. They draw straws. Stepney loses.

Stepney's out of his/her league here, but whatever, nobody who reads Time magazine's gonna know. He/she checks the USAF press release on Project Blue Book and gets a whiff of what his/her Brief History should say. "Thanks to such a meager percentage (of unknowns) and an overall drop in sightings, officials axed the program and ended the research," he/she writes. But a more contemporary hip cultural reference would be nice, too. Hm. "So much for the truth being out there." Zing! Oh, and he's/she's gotta cover that Roswell thing, too. Hm. That was where "a rancher stumbled upon a 200-yard long swathe of rubber strips, tinfoil, wood sticks and Scotch tape." Nailed 'er.
