Scotland and the UK have for some time been accredited with being on the world's busiest UFO hotspots with attention in Scotland being focused initially on Bonnybridge and the Falkirk triangle. However, more recently, from about 2000, it has become apparent that the small town of Gorebridge - an ex coal mining town about 15 miles south of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city, has had more than its fairshare of close encounters and abductions.On checking the local news and gossip - there have been reported and unreported close encounters in the Gorebridge area for decades.

Geographically and historically, Gorebridge is situated adjacent toRosslyn Castle and Chapel which lie a few miles to the west. In Rosslyn glen by the river there is a bronze age carving in stone ofa reptilian head and, folklore referring to a tunnel and cavern system. To the east lies the cavern systems of Cousland and a place called`Goblin Halls' as well as numerous other references to this reality in village names. e.g. Elphinstone.

Gorebridge, then, a typical post-industrial mining community with abandoned mines and workings has a past intimately tied in to Celtic mythological traditions.It has been noted for a few years now that Blinkbonny mine, an abandoned coal mine at Gorebridge, has been a centre for nocturnal activity with lights descending from the sky, and curious strangers there who move the locals on.

Two individuals were chased from that locality one year whilst diggingup some fir trees for Christmas by a luminous, floating,`green eye'.

Access to that locality has become more controlled over the last few years with some of the other entrances to the mine at other localities becoming filled in by contractors. It has more recently become a Bikers locality for non-locals.

In other localities in and around Gorebridge strange things have been reported such as parked `silver domes' in the local fields, black triangles flying low overhead, people being pursued by strange glowing intelligent lights, sightings of Greys and Men in Black in the local woods and abductees who share the same year and dates of birth.

Also there is the story of Jackie Gillies a contactee from Gorebridge who has filmed numerous alien craft at close quarters. These images are featured at http://www.LSUFOS.com. In 2002, John, or Jackie as he prefers to be called went out at night to his doorstep because he had the `feeling' that he would film something. Sure enough he films a square shaped and peculiar UFO flying low across his rooftop. Managing also to get the ship at various stages of its approach. The next morning Jackie hears the thunder of a helicopter at rooftop height overhead and goes out with his camera to see a dark helicopter eyeballing him at his doorstep with its cameras trained on him. Jackie then filmed them filming him. Thinking it bizarre, he contacted a then prominent UFO group in Scotland with his story and his footage but their investigation though revealing that the helicopter was from a company called PDG helicopters, dismissed their activity as normal and routine.Certainly its all routine for the security services to survey citizens on their doorstep. All of Jackies footage has been dismissed by this group as `rubbish'. However, when he eventually started investigating the suspicious helicopter, there the morning after a close encounter, and when he examined the images of the pilot he was in for a shock - for he had a clear image of a Grey working for the UK establishment. PDG helicopters have declined to identify the pilot and any use of`strange headgear' etc. and they remain silent about their presence on his doorstep.

The UFO group who initially investigated Jackies claim of harassment and who had dismissed the incident as routine had failed to note that the helicopter was flying at 150 feet and that 500 feet is the legal ceiling for such activity.There are also some of Jackies neighbours who were alarmed by this low flying machine.

Further scrutiny of this clear helicopter footage and survey of the locality by an RAF flight sergeant from Leuchars airbase who is also a bomb disposal expert and Iraq combat veteran reveals a fairly exact confirmation of the height at about 150 feet and that the camera in use to film Jackie and his house was no ordinary routine camera.The camera in use by the very strange surveillance team was a radiation source seeking camera which can see through walls. The camera operator is a Grey with a heart shaped head a head much like the Faerie head from the 13th century carved in stone in St Giles cathedral Edinburgh. This is also the Speilberg `ET' from the film of the same name -perhaps checking if Jackie was following advice to `be good' and whether or not he had recently acquired any exotic technology from the previous night's encounter with which to `phone home'.

The ramifications of Jackies Grey chopper pilot are staggering - for when `alien Tony' as he has been dubbed flies back to the airport -how is he facilitated. What are his catering and restroom arrangements.Working as an alien technological consultant for the UK black ops - he assists in the `routine surveillance' of UK abductees and contactees. Does he drive back to Elphinstone or Goblin Halls at night after he clocks off.

Jackies photo of `alien Tony' represents the first clear public domain evidence that the Ministry of Defence is clearly working hand in glove with extraterrestrials and that these ETs are helping them with their field work. Indeed this disclosure makes the recent MoD Condign Report facile and ridiculous. One of its points of laughter was a sub-report entitled`Elves, Sprites and Blue Jets'.Its certain from this evidence that the government are intent on policing their monopoly on exotic technology and all the benefits to be had therefrom.

The authorities only becoming involved overtly if there is a `risk' that Joe Public could be receiving technological gifts of strange things. Close monitoring of the contactee public is done with the use of conventional and unconventional technology and personnel.

A more recent overfly of Gorebridge by a PDG helicopter was reported in late May 2006. In chatting to a local gamekeeper it was revealed that he did not go to a certain hill a few miles south of Gorebridge because it always had a low level light over it at night. The gamekeeper related that the light was under the level of the low cumulus clouds.

Indeed from two independent sources it was confirmed that a field onLeadburn road a few miles to the west had alien and or military technology in it.A local gypsy called Muriel told me that `someone' a while back had left a probe in that field and that if you stood at a certain place it would drift over to where you stood to check you out. This was also checked out by Garry Woods another prominent Scottishabductee and investigator.

More recently it has come to light that two friends and hillwalkers had been in that area and one had said to the other to watch the trees at the top of a hill whilst walking up to a certain point in the field. When the point had been reached, a Harrier vertical take off and landing `jump jet' rose above the treeline. The friend then said to the other, now step back, and then the jet sank back down into thetrees. Now step forward again and the jet rose up again.It would appear that some sort of holographic technology may be in use, for there are, according to a Flight Sergeant at RAF Leuchars, air traffic control, no Harriers flying in Scotland - the nearest being 300 miles away at bases such as Peterhead and Norwich. The hillwalker had encountered the Harrier before many times noting that it rose up if he walked forward and then sunk down if he walked back at a spot in the field. The weird Harrier is in the exact locality identified by the local gypsy as that which contained the `alien probe'.

There are though, many other mining towns in the Scottish region of the Lothians, comprising of West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian e.g.Blackridge in West Lothian [closer to Bonnybridge] that have noted ET activity and abductions from craft and beings operating in and around old coal mines.It may be though, that old mines could be utilised in times of national emergency for various reasons and are currently being made secure for that purpose. There does seem to be sightings of dark helicopters associated with these places - as a recent correspondent from West Lothian confirms.

With so many contactees in Gorebridge itself and many more people who have witnessed strange encounters and happenings - it was with interest that I note that an abductee who had parents born in Gorebridge on the same day within 5 minutes of each other and who had then moved to Edinburgh was also being followed up in later life by ongoing ET contact.

There is clearly something alien going on at Gorebridge and that when you open your back door and find yourself being confronted by a helicopter cockpit and one of the occupants in plain view is an alien or even a spook wearing a strange mask - then you know that maybe the authorities know something about it too.

Other footage shot by Jackie Gillies reveals an arrowhead shaped craft with visible triangular structural details flying up from the Rosslyn area through the stars of Orions belt. As it rises heading south in the direction of the Scottish Borders - three cities materialise for it to dock with.

This footage provides proof for an anecdote reported by Charles Fort in his book New Lands, of a city descending from the sky over the Scottish Borders in the 18th or 19th century.

Recent claims of a sighting of an Aurora jet over the Lothians by a`respectable witness' who claimed to see percussion smoke rings from faster than sound flight behind it do not detract from the fact that the ship filmed by Jackie is not of conventional technology and was clearly leaving the Earths atmosphere. It is enveloped in a bright blue glow and is identical to one filmed on the Martian sands by a NASA satellite.

The UK military thought by the looks of `alien Tony' the chopper occupant have long surpassed the need for jet aircraft - and the ultimate irony in the recent MoD Condign report that jokingly refers to `blue jets' is that Jackie had indeed filmed a blue craft - but it was clearly enveloped in a light blue electrogravitational field. [Ofthe sort described and produced by Townsend Brown in the 1930's]Does Condign mean Condescension ? or just a Con ?Exactly what is going on at Gorebridge ? Well two strangers, men in suits were overheard to declare the area a `hive'.Well it certainly has been and continues to be a hive of alien activity. I have a feeling though that there is much more to come.

Lunar Impacts Created Seas Of Molten Rock

A new analysis of data from NASA's Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) shows that molten rock may have been present on the Moon more recently and for longer periods than previously thought. Differentiation -- a settling out of rock layers as liquid rock cools -- would require thousands of years and a fluid rock sea at least six miles deep.

Early in the Moon's history an ocean of molten rock covered its entire surface. As that lunar magma ocean cooled over millions of years, it differentiated to form the Moon's crust and mantle. But according to a new analysis by planetary scientists from Brown University, this wasn't the last time the Moon's surface was melted on a massive scale.

The research, led by graduate student William Vaughan, shows that the impact event that formed the Orientale basin on the Moon's western edge and far side produced a sea of melted rock 220 miles across and at least six miles deep. Similar seas of impact melt were probably present at various times in at least 30 other large impact basins on the Moon.

Vaughan and his colleagues show that as these melt seas cooled, they differentiated in a way that was similar to the lunar magma ocean. As a result, rocks formed in melt seas could be mistaken for "pristine" rocks formed very early in the Moon's history, the researchers say.

"This work adds the concept of impact melt magma seas to the lexicon of lunar rock-forming processes," said planetary geologist James W. Head III, the Scherck Distinguished Professor of Geological Sciences and the senior researcher involved in the study. "It emphasizes that one must consider the detailed point of origin of the rocks in order to interpret them correctly."

That includes rocks brought back during the Apollo program and Russia's Luna missions. It's quite possible, the researchers say, that impact melt material is present in lunar samples thought to be representative of the early formation of the lunar crust. The amount of rock formed in melt seas is far from trivial. Vaughan and his colleagues estimate that impacts forming the Moon's 30 large basins produced 100 million cubic kilometers of melt, enough to make up 5 percent of the Moon's crust.

If lunar samples do include melt material, it would help to explain some puzzling findings from lunar samples. For example, in 2011 an analysis of a sample assumed to have originated in the early lunar crust suggested that the sample was 200 million years younger than the estimated time when the lunar magma ocean solidified. That led some researchers to conclude either that the Moon is younger than previously estimated or that the lunar magma ocean theory was flawed. But if that sample actually originated from a melt sea, its young age could be explained without rewriting the history of the Moon.

THE MELT SEA AT ORIENTALE

The Orientale basin is only partly visible from Earth on the western edge of the Moon's near side. Because it's one of the few basins on the Moon that hasn't filled in with volcanic basalt, it provides a great place to investigate the geology of melt seas and to test whether they differentiate as they cool.

For the Orientale melt sea to have differentiated, it must have been liquid for a long time -- thousands of years. To be liquid that long, it must have been quite thick. That left the researchers with a question that wasn't easy to answer: How thick was the Orientale melt?

"In pictures, you're just seeing the top of an impact melt body, so we have to find a way to infer how thick it was," Vaughan said.

To do that, Vaughan and his colleagues took advantage of the fact that a liquid shrinks when it cools and solidifies. Data from the Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) showed that the sheet had subsided by about two kilometers from the surrounding rock, giving the researchers an idea of how much the sea shrank. With that data, they could calculate its volume and infer its depth.

According to the calculations, the Orientale melt sea must have been at least 10 kilometers thick. Far shallower melt sheets from impacts on Earth are known to have differentiated, so it's a safe bet that Orientale was thick enough to differentiate.

The next question was what that differentiation might look like. Based on the compositions of the lunar crust and mantle material melted, Vaughan could determine the composition of the impact melt sea. From there, he could make a model of what rocks would have formed as the melt sea cooled. According to the model, thick layers of rocks like dunite and pyroxenite form at the base of the melt sea from dense, early crystallizing minerals that sink through the melt. Other minerals float up through the melt to form layers of rocks such as norite at the top of the melt sea -- very similar to differentiation processes in the lunar magma ocean.

Vaughan's model is supported by remote sensing data from the Maunder crater, the remnant of an impact that excavated material from the melt sheet after it cooled. The data confirm a noritic composition at least four kilometers deep in the melt sheet.

Taken together, the findings suggest that impact melt seas produce rock in a way that's very similar to the lunar magma ocean. And that could help to clear up some lingering questions about the magma ocean paradigm.

"This is a mechanism by which the Moon was later modified to add petrologic complexity," Vaughan said. "It helps make sense of mineralogical data that doesn't always fit in this lunar magma ocean idea."

The research is published in the April issue of the journal Icarus.

I was working in the help factory installing wall motions lights at my leave shortly after unhappy. As I glanced up to the sky, I had noticed a square box as boundless as a SUV.On both theme it had a dazzling light shinning precisely down and a red light in the center was blinking.It was magnificent in a precisely line.It was magnificent too cursorily to be a blimp and too extended to be an aircraft. I heard no decibels yet to come from it. I ran across my backyard perpetuation my eye courteous on it as it continued to move EAST until I lost sight of it. A long time ago it was out from my sight, I tried to discharge as to what it was that I had legal seen, but coherently I may well not snitch what it may well support been. But I am sure I relate what it was not.Repeated time I quay of the possiblity of UFOs I was too embaraced to helping my bite in the midst of co-workers.

Ufos And Crop Circles

Another huge mystery that has been unfolding in recent years are massive formations in grain fields around the world known as crop circles. The greatest number of them have appeared in a south central area of Britain, which is also highly prone to UFO activity. Also present in this region are many ancient sacred sites like Stonehenge along with Bronze Age ruins and burial structures known as barrows.

There are a variety of theories on what makes crop circles appear from microwave energy that reacts with underground waterways, vortexes and ley lines. Circle followers and researchers have witnessed small UFOs hovering over the formations. These are quite similar to the foo fighters fighter pilots saw in World War II - little orbs of flaming white light.

It is a well known issue that electronic equipment stops working inside the formations. Those who enter them say they feel an energy that is not present outside the circle. Some visitors report that it is healing, while others are left feeling ill.

The patterns are fantastic and many imply motion. Ancient symbols, aliens, planets and the sun are commonly the pieces that make up the designs. Since they appear in a matter of moments and can be as large as a football field, if not bigger, the belief that UFOs make them is quite prevalent.

Adding more emphasis to the suspicion that UFOs are behind the formations are several cases where aliens have been seen near them. The best of these reports comes from a policeman who saw three giant men heading over a rise in the fields away from a new crop circle. They were far too tall to have been human, and yet they looked very human indeed. Where they went once they walked over the hill, no one knows. They simply disappeared.

Long time crop circle researchers who live in and around Wiltshire County in the UK, have what might be described as premonitions of when and where a formation will appear next. It's as if something is mentally alerting them that activity is taking place. With all close encounters and alien abductions the beings communicate telepathically - without speaking, very much like the circle followers know where to go look for a formation going down or just created.

The same debunking and disinfo planting that plagues the UFOs and aliens scene is also present with the crop circle phenomenon. Mainstream media seems to go out of its way to prove them a hoax and make a mockery of those who are seriously studying them. There have been those that have declared on television that they make crop circles with boards and wires. Some of these 'credible' experts have also reversed their story, saying that they only did that because someone paid them to.

Latching onto the sensation are major brands like BMW and Nabisco, who have hired circle makers for publicity and advertising stunts, which has largely undermined the authenticity of real formations. Most man-made crop circles are easy to identify. The lack the precision and uniformity of those that have shown to be impregnated with a strange energy. Some of the most mysterious looking patterns appearing in farm fields have the heads of alien grays woven into them, bringing many to wonder if real crop circles are indeed the work of extraterrestrials.

Mary Rodwell, founder of the Australian Close Encounter Resource Network, said in her role as an hypnotherapist and counsellor for people with paranormal encounters she has come across "at least a dozen people from the Northern Territory", who had experienced encounters with "non-human beings".

"I had people telling me they found strange little marks, bruises and scars on their bodies when they woke up in the morning.

"Many of the marks and scars fluoresce in ultraviolet light. They have time missing in their memory.

"People found themselves outside their house with all the doors locked from the inside, and they don't know how the hell they got there."

Ms Rodwell said many people did not want to go public with their encounters, fearing they would be laughed at.

"Or they just don't know what to make of it," she said.

"But this is real, this is not a fantasy. I don't have any doubts this is reality, we are being visited.

"There is a lot of evidence out there for it (abductions).

"The people who contacted me are just the tip of the iceberg; I am sure there are plenty more."

The British-born counselor said that most of the abduction reports came from "around the vicinity of Darwin".

"It doesn't have to happen in isolated places, it happens everywhere - to articulate, credible people, who are not crazy.

"Some people have seen things up close, like a beam of light that came down from a craft, or crafts sucking up water from dams or lakes."

Ms Rodwell said many of the Territorians who had turned to her for help had not believed in UFOs or aliens until they had seen things "with their own eyes".

For the past few years I have been searching to find a symbol that a lifelong abductee has been drawing since the age of three.

The abductee first remembers strange events occurring in life at the same time this mysterious symbol entered into this person's life which was about age three. That is when the constant scribbling of this mysterious symbol started.

As a child the abductee would be shown this symbol along the walls at night. It was not once or twice it was a nightly event that went on for a few years. The abductee's parents had other children and considered this simply a child's nightmare and brushed it off.

It was also the time the abductee could recall strange events including being taken while playing and being placed back down from a height by way of a white ray of light. This abductee 's life was never like that of other people.

The symbol is a one motion continuous line that a three year old should have a problem conquering however that was not the case with this abductee.

Along with the normal scribbling art of a typical three year old this abductee also constantly drew this symbol. This continued on throughout childhood with every drawing the abductee made. When the parents questioned the young child to what it meant she would reply that is me! The entire symbol ordeal was becoming very strange for this family and the child.

The symbol continued to appear on schoolwork, art work and all things that could be used to doodle or draw. At about age 8 the school insisted that this behavior of adding this symbol to all the little abductee's work must stop.

The Abductee told me it was a great effort that needed a huge amount of concentration and focus to not form this symbol. It had become such a part of the abductee's personality that not making the symbol took enormous work to stop.

Today now age 60 this abductee has spent a life time of carrying this symbol through life. The habit or ritual of automatically forming it was controlled but to this day it can be found everywhere on things like bank books, calendars, note pads, anything that is laying around that is not of a business or important nature.

It is odd that a child would develop such a complex one motion symbol at such a young age. It is odd that the compulsion to constantly repeat it continued for a life time when the abductee showed no signs of any other compulsive character traits.

I have been asking my readers if they have ever seen or have any knowledge of this symbol for the last two years.

I have had many good people try to help however most suggestions were not close at all to this one line continuous motion symbol.

Two people have given me material that may bring some answers to this mystery. I am hopeful that by reaching out one last time to my readers and those who have an interest and hopefully some insight or knowledge concerning this symbol we may be able to find some answers to this mystery.

I have asked the abductee to once again draw this symbol and show me how it is made with one quick stroke of the pen. I will tell you that this symbol jumps from her pens tip with such speed that it is impossible to follow the method. It is broken down to show you the direction used to make it in one quick move.

"From Wikipedia/Distortion"Our Spanish colleague and friend, UFO researcher Jose Antonio Caravaca, is bemused by my constant insistence that many UFO sightings and/or encounters are hallucinatory.He provided an explanation and "corrective" for my views the other day.I've reworked his e-mail to me -- English isn't his primary language (although he's more competent with my language than I am with his) -- so if there ends up being some confusion, the blame lies with me, not Jose.Here's what he sent me (my comments will follow):The Distortion theory argues that an unknown external agent uses the witness's psyche as the main source of documentation and reference in the "manufacture" of the contents and elements that come together in close encounters with UFOs, by forming a complex "holographic" type projection.However the external agent adds some of its "own" components creating a plot that can be tracked and detected in hundreds of different incidents.It is extremely interesting that, regardless of the external form of the "flying saucers"and almost infinite types of humanoids, they are delivered in repeated gestures and actions over and over again, as if all the extraterrestrial civilizations have conspired to display the same behavioral patterns.On many occasions the crews of UFOs are described with "objects" (sticks, guns, balls, etc.) in their hands shooting light rays at the unsuspecting witnesses, or the crews have their "spaceship" emit beams of light that immobilize or inconvenience observers.In this characteristic feature, we must add that basic recognizable archetypes are used by the external agent as the basis of design and development experience, which adds to the individual elements of each witness to form the close encounter.These resources are psychological mechanisms that supplement the assimilation and interpretation of the experience, in a context, however, that is seemingly bizarre and puzzling to the observer.Hence, on countless occasions, the alleged alien(s) present, in a surrounding terrain, a scenario of repairing their spacecraft, asking for help about where they are, or asking for water, along with other issues that are absurd, mundane, and ordinary.Almost all the above elements, including the indiscriminate use of the light beams, we find embedded in many UFO encounters, but the external agent adds unconscious components to incidents that are pertinent to each witness, which ensures that each experience is seemingly unique.But in the end, such experiences are only the result of a" mise en scene" of same repetitive patterns ( craft breakdown, exploration, reconnaissance, light rays, etc.) adapted to the personal and confidential knowledge of witnesses and formulated so that the theory of distortion might be called "oneiric creativity."The most sensible explanation is that the observations that ufologists have been labeling as close encounters with alien beings mask a type of unknown "psychological phenomenon" orchestrated by a external agent that uses the information in the psyche of the witnesses to "build" the experiences.The method of expression used by this unidentified external agent, is the distortion of our individual unconscious content, that unfolds before the viewer's eyes with an approach similar to the experience of dreaming, but controlling and delimiting these experiences so they follow the schemes of "extraterrestrial visitation, "which is the objective sought to be instilled.This will prevent the human psyche from "adding" or "contributing" too much material of especially inconsistent evidence, so that the human mind is errantly thought to be the originator of such experiences.If the external agent does not exercise this authority or control over the mental creation in the gestation of close encounters, the witness would "see" members of his own family, friends, or even their favorite actor.In summary, the distortion theory suggests that close encounters with UFOs and their crews, are the result of a "shared mental creation" between a external agent and the unconscious mind of witnesses.Therefore, the meaning, purpose or impact of these experiences is to be found in the field of psychology.Despite all this, we are not dealing, however, with a purely psychological phenomenon that is limited to the mental universe.By contrast, the
