while looking for a house in Cape Coral, Fl I noticed an object that I thought was a blimp in the street view. It bothered me and after a while I looked at it more closely and found that if I moved one frame in google earth the object was shown moving along the roadside power lines and traveled from horizon to horizon in 4 frames which covered not more than 200 feet in front of the house I was looking at. One frame was close enough to see circular spots clearly on the object that could be like holes or lights or something - to me it almost looked like a giant whiffle ball but not really. the detail is very good.

Time: Approximately 7:30 p.m.

Hello Brian, I just did a Google search for some current information about a sighting we saw this evening, to see if anyone else saw it and reported it and I fell upon your page. Hence, here I am to share what we saw.

As it happened in sequence and detail.

Date and time of our sighting: March 7th, 2015. First sighted at approximately 7:30 p.m., fading from sight at approximately 8:40 p.m.

We live in Langford, British Columbia, but went to Victoria for dinner this evening. As we were driving back (my friend and I) I noticed a 'bigger than a star', but 'smaller than the moon' light high in the sky to the left of us just before we arrived at the cross section of Tillicum Road and the TC highway.

I followed it with my eye until we arrived home. I have a telescope, but I would have had to take it into the street for a good view, so my friend grabbed his binoculars, and we headed to the back yard.

I could see clearly even just with these 'binos' that it was not any star or planet, but a moving (bowl-like on one side, flat on the other) saucer object, flipping around that in one instance the flat side was to the right and instantly then to the left.

On the round side of this object, there were a lot of small white round shapes, like white lights that sparkled as the object revolved. It had gotten a lot closer for a good view since we had come home, but was now slowly descending below the treetops in the view from our back yard.

We shifted our positions and went to the front of the house and partly into the street. Our next door neighbours came out, curious as to what we were looking at.

We showed them and they both agreed it was something different. The lady then asked us if we had heard a train go by earlier. We said that we were out and just got home.

She said because we heard a train go by about an half an hour or three quarters of an hour ago, but we thought it was strange because there is no train running here!

So I thought (and then said) 'hmm, I wonder could it be this object' that flew by and created the sound?' We all pondered that possibility.

It was getting cold by now and the object had moved a bit more, so we went to our computer rooms in the loft for a clearer view.

We quickly took the screen out, poked our heads out the window and (with 'binos' to eyes) there it was in a very clear image, again even closer. It was twirling around much more visibly and then in an instance, it dipped below the trees and out of sight.

End of our sighting! Now I am hearing that a UFO sighting was seen over Edmonton the early morning of this same day!

For starters Brian, I've been a total believer in UFOs for many years. Could elaborate much more on my experiences, but here it's about the 'here and now' sighting of this evening.

However, before I leave I wish to inject here that last summer (late July 2014), in the middle of the night my friend and I both woke to a loud 'scraping like sound' over our rooftop.

We both jumped out of bed and went straight to our windows. We thought something had crashed over the treetops by the house, but there was absolutely nothing to be seen or heard.

It was immediately after that night I heard about a possible UFO hovering over Toronto.

To answer your question re whereabouts this object was spotted (from the perspective of where I live and saw its real shape), I can describe its position this way:

We live just off Happy Valley road, ( - newly developed - area) on 'Braeburn Ave', front of our back yard patio faces directly south, with the right side of it facing to the west.

This object was seen right above the corner of our patio in that southwest position, so my guess is it was hovering above the Strait of Juan De Fuca area, however, very high above the ocean and perhaps further off-land.

But to give a geographical account of its position, definitely I would say with conviction that it was in a 'Southwest' position, in the area of Juan De Fuca straits.

UFO SIGHTING IN LINCOLN, NEBRASKA ON JUNE 28TH 2013 - SAW TWO STAR-LIKE LIGHTS, 11:03 PM CENTRAL AND 11:25 PM CENTRAL

From my deck I observed the first star-like light at 11:03 pm Central Time, to the SW about 20 degrees above the horizon, ascending to the North. Duration was about 10 seconds before I lost sight of it due to roof overhang. No blinking lights associated with this star-like light. The second star-like light was observed at 11:25 pm about 30 degrees up from the SSW horizon, ascending and moving to the North. This second star-like light appeared to be either farther away or smaller. I watched it move from the SSW past the 90 degree mark overhead and then lost it against the night sky. It appeared to get smaller or farther away as it passed the 90 degree mark directly overhead. No flashing lights, just a solid star-like light. Both lights were straight-line in their path/direction. Immediately after the 11:03 pm Central sighting, I observed 3-5 planes in a West/East and East/West direction, to the South at about 30 - 40 degrees off the horizon. The planes all had flashing/blinking lights. Additionally there was a helicopter that made at least 3 passes at low altitude over this part of the city, appearing to fly from the SE to the NW. It is not clear whether the plane traffic or helicopter was connected to the sightings, but my guess is that the activity was more than "normal" for this time of night, based on what I've seen in the past at this time. Visibility is clear, low 70's in temperature, and very little if any wind. Lots of stars visible in the night sky.

The newly declassified CIA documents reportedly confirm the much debated and controversial existence of Area 51, a test site for US spy planes and the one believed to be the subject of conspiracy theories related to the UFO folklore.

According to the "New York Daily News", the documents obtained by George Washington University's National Security Archive confirm that Area 51 exists as a small rectangular area in southern Nevada, adjacent to a salt flat known as Groom Lake.

The site was never identified on any of the government maps for decades and was used by the CIA as a testing facility in the 1950s for the U-2 spy plane.

The documents also stated that in order to make the facility in the middle of nowhere sound more attractive, one of the men in charge of the U-2 program renamed the place as 'Paradise Ranch' which was later shortened to 'Ranch'.

The report said that given the testing of futuristic planes, numerous UFO sightings were reported in the vicinity of the secret base and reports from people employed on the base spurred grandiose theories on what the government was keeping hidden from view.

However, none of the conspiracy theories, claiming that the government was hiding a crashed alien aircraft or developing a device to control the weather, have been mentioned in the newly declassified documents.

Ufos And The President

Somewhere between Truman and Kennedy, even the president didn't have the proper security classifications to see any files pertaining to UFOs. Not that there wasn't any interest, a number of U.S. presidents have seen unidentified flying objects.

Some conspiracy theorists think this could be the reason for his assassination. They could be wrong, there were a long of strong undercurrents on the Hill in those political days.

The Battle of Los Angeles took place during Franklin Roosevelt's administration. While FDR doesn't seem to be particularly interested in UFOs or aliens, both his Secretary of State and his wife were. Cordell Hull gave his cousin a tour of the Capitol when he visited D.C. as a young man. No mention of this story appears in Secretary of State Hull's memoirs. However, in his later years, Rev. Turner Holt told the story to his family to ensure the information didn't die with him. RESEARCH DONE BY ANALYST AT MIT REVEALS WHATS BEHIND MANY OF THE RECENT UFO SIGHTINGS OVER CHINA

Those probably were not UFOs that hovered over China recently, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology analyst said. The images of the UFOs have caused quite a stir in China and on blogs around the world. But many of the images appear to be faked with the software program Photoshop and the ones that were not faked seem to depict the launch of a Chinese ballistic missile, said Gfrey Forden, an MIT weapons analyst.

Forden, who also specializes in Russian and Chinese space systems, published his analysis on a blog called "Arms Control Wonk."

Singing Like A Canary

I haven't been blogging much this week because I've been focusing on my J. Allen Hynek book. It's been a pretty fantastic week, actually, because I've been able to interview some people who play key roles in the UFO story, and I'm learning how to be a dirty, underhanded interviewer. This is great!

I'll talk about the second interview in a later blog, but first up was the layer fella from Mississippi, whom I have already immortalized in this blog. Lawyer Joe had been smack-dab in the middle of the media frenzy surrounding the famous Close Encounter of the Third Kind alien abduction that took place in Pascagoula, MS, in 1973. The first time I spoke with Joe, about a month ago, he was fresh out of the hospital and did not feel up to doing an interview. He asked me to call him back in a few weeks, and I was happy to oblige.

I gave it a few weeks and called him up the other night. As soon as I said my name he remembered me, and boy, was he ready for me.

"You know, Mark, I've been thinking about this interview, and I just don't think it's something I want to do," he said, to my dismay. "It was forty years ago and I really wasn't involved very much, and so there's nothing new I can tell you.

Of course, ace interviewer that I am, I was sort of expecting this from Joe. So I knew not to let him off the hook. First, I reminded him of something he had told me during our first talk that had never, in my knowledge, ever appeared in any account of the Pascagoula abduction: namely, that he had not been hired to represent Charlie and Calvin, the two men who were abducted, as is commonly reported, but rather was hired by their employer to scare away reporters. I told him that he did, in fact, have something new to tell me about the incident that people would want to know. Well, that got him all fired up, as expected.

For the next half hour, Mr. "I have nothing to add" added and added and added, until the batteries in my recorder started to run out of juice. He told me about the lie detector test he arranged, and how Charlie passed with flying colors. He told me about getting the local Air Force base -- which was officially out of the UFO business -- to test the two UFO abductees for radiation. He told me about accompanying Charlie to New York to appear on The Dick Cavett Show, and how Charlie barely said a word to him or to anyone until he was on camera in front of two million television viewers. It was fantastic. He's the experienced trial lawyer, and here I am getting him to sing like a canary. Amazing.

He never earned a penny from his involvement with Charlie and Calvin, but he remained a steadfast supporter and protector of the two men for weeks and months after the incident. April 12 A Historic Day For Space Exploration

April 12 is a historic day in the annals of manned spaceflight as it is this date that marks a pair of historic firsts: Yuri Gagarin's becoming the first human in orbit (1961) and the first flight of a space Shuttle (1981). All over the world, people are celebrating Gagarin's first sojourn into the final frontier and in America, people are also celebrating the start of NASA's longest-running manned mission program, the space shuttle, which is set to draw to a close this year. It was on April 12, 1961, that humanity became a space-faring race. For 108 glorious minutes, planet Earth was minus one inhabitant as Yuri Gagarin was completing one orbit around the planet that had been our species' and, so far as we know, life's only home in all the cosmos. When Gagarin touched down just past an hour and a half after liftoff, the world was a changed place as was our place in the universe. No more would man be a species tied to a planet, we finally had the means to journey back to the stars from which we came.

20 years after Gagarin, in 1981, manned missions into space had become routine, with 'routine' being a very relative term. So, in the age of economizing as national pride was no longer at stake (America won the space race in 1969 with Apollo 11), NASA had been looking for ways to enter space on the cheap via a re-usable space transport system. The result of this goal: the space shuttle, which would launch like a rocket and land like a plane. When shuttle Columbia lifted off on April 12, 1981, everyone at NASA was on pins and needles as they waited to see how the most complex machine ever built (over 1 million moving parts) acted in a real life mission. The rest, as they say, is history as the space shuttle program would go about ferrying astronauts back and forth from Earth to space and back again for 30 years.

For space enthusiasts the world over, today is a time to celebrate mankind's short, yet epic journey into the vastness of space. However, while looking back at past achievements is perfectly fine, the real goal of space exploration should be the future. Today, with the United States having ambitious plans to reach Mars by 2030 with the help of, for the first time, private industry, there is no reason why this generation shouldn't get to witness the historic moments that those of the past got to experience 50 and 30 years ago today.

Black Eyed Children

Interesting recently from C2C."author, paranormal investigator, cryptozoologist, and ufologist, David Weatherly, who delved into his fascinating study of the Black Eyed Children phenomenon. Painting a picture of a typical incident, he described what happened to a man named Paul who was home alone when he heard knocking at the door. He opened the door and saw two kids about 10 years old, standing on his steps with their heads down. "Hey, we just thought we'd stop in for a bit," they said. Paul thought they had the wrong house, but the kids kept insisting that they be asked in. He stepped forward to get a better look, and when they made eye contact he saw their entire eyes were solid black, including the sclera.The incidents or visitations usually involve from 1-3 children, and they speak in a monotone voice, repeating the same phrases (always requesting to be let inside), which suggests they may be attempting some kind of mind control or hypnosis, Weatherly said. Their skin is usually described as being pale or pasty, and they often seem to vanish at a moment's notice, he continued. In another case, a man in Dallas suddenly saw a boy at his door as he was arriving home. The boy repeated "I think it's food time. You should invite me inside." Intriguingly, the man's protective pit bull which initially came running toward the front door, cowered when it got closer to the boy, and then reportedly whimpered and hid under the bed for days afterward.Other anomalies connected to the Black Eyed Children (who usually appear to be from 8-13 years old) include electrical phenomena such as garage doors inexplicably opening, and their odd clothes which look to be homemade or old-fashioned.Weatherly postulated that these sinister children could be interdimensional beings that come into our level of existence in order to feed off the energy of fear that they create by their interactions. Interestingly, one abductee he interviewed said that the Black Eyed Child she encountered was an alien-human hybrid, and she was his mother.

Deceptive Messengers

A couple of weeks ago I was sent a copy of a new edition of Jacques Vallee's classic 1979 book, "MESSENGERS OF DECEPTION". If you don't have the original, then the reprint - courtesy of "DAILY GRAIL PUBLISHING" - should definitely be at the very top of your "To Buy" list.Vallee is, of course, a legendary figure within Ufology and the author of many books. For me, however, "MESSENGERS OF DECEPTION" is his most important and relevant, and the one in which I personally feel he gets closest to the truth about certain aspects of the UFO puzzle.If you are of a closed-mind when it comes to the issue of unidentified flying objects, and you only view things from the perspective of a black-and-white, nuts-and-bolts, "ET is among us and here to help" scenario, then you are very likely to find yourself disagreeing with Vallee in his thoughts, his observations and his conclusions.If, however, you're not just another wide-eyed "I want to believe" type who salivates at the very words "Take me to your leader;" and if you didn't digest Vallee's book the first time around, I most definitely recommend you do so now. I first read the book when it was published (I would have been around 14 at the time), and I still re-read it every few years. And every time I do so, I get something new and thought-provoking from its pages. And something chilling, too.Basically, the book is a first-class look at how, and why, the UFO subject and the people within it (both witnesses and researchers) have been carefully and ingeniously manipulated and stage-managed by shadowy figures with a plethora of agendas - and some of those agendas are distinctly sinister, too.And I do not exaggerate when I say "sinister."Within the 280 pages of "MESSENGERS OF DECEPTION", you will learn much about the psychological manipulation of the human mind, both at an individual level and at a collective level, and you will be exposed to a strange and surreal world where nothing is quite as it seems. This is a world where the UFO issue is predominantly a tool of influence, one designed to alter mind-sets, attitudes and much more - and possibly on a global scale, too.The stark truth of the matter (a truth that the ufological die-hards who still yearn for the "good-old-days" of Ufology stubbornly refuse to believe) is that we have been conned, we have been deceived, and we have been manipulated by powerful characters, and to a point where deliberate and deceitful paradigm shifts have occurred that only benefit those with power, riches and dark motivations based around control of the masses and the creation of false belief systems. Local Ufo Investigator It Obvious Were Not Alone

Harry Willnus knows all too well that eyebrows will rise when he talks about unidentified flying objects, but that doesn't stop the retired social studies teacher from continuing his 60-year quest to see the issue become accepted by the mainstream population.

"UFO sightings are reported every day around the world and in every country around the world," said the Salem resident and former president of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the world's largest investigative body looking into the UFO phenomena.

Willnus, like other UFO enthusiasts ask, "Are we alone in the universe?"

That question will be the focus of his appearance on the Science Channel's show "Close Encounters." Now in its second season, Willnus will appear on an upcoming episode scheduled to air at 10 p.m., March 10. Willnus will share his vast knowledge about the highly publicized March 1966 reported UFO sighting in Dexter,. He'll be on the show again, at 10 p.m., March 31, talking about a reported sighting in Exeter, N. H.

In the March 20, 1966, Dexter case a group of people, including police officers, reported seeing an object turn from a blue green to a brilliant red to a yellow coloring. It rose 500 feet and returned to the ground, one man said.

Trying to investigate further, the officers said they went out to the far edge of the wooded area and also saw a brilliant light appear and then disappear. The officers said when they returned to their patrol vehicle, a group of people had gathered and reported seeing something similar. These witnesses said the object departed in a western direction at a high rate of speed.

AREA REPORTS

A UFO investigator, Willnus sat in the living room of his home and retold other stories of what he believes are extraterrestrial visits. Like a sighting by WJR reporter Marc Avery on Feb. 10, 1978.

Avery was on his way to the airport on Interstate 275 when he and his wife saw two lights hovering over their car "for 30, 40, 50 seconds." He called the radio station and spoke on air, describing the aircraft with Warren Pierce. Willnus has the report recorded on his smart phone.

The citing was never debunked, Willnus said. In fact, two men, who were walking in the Merriman Road and Michigan Avenue area later reported they saw a similar aircraft about five minutes before Avery's report.

The U.S. Air Force investigated UFO sightings from 1947 to 1969, in Project Blue Book, which consisted of 12,618 accounts spanning nearly 130,000 pages, Willnus said. The project was discontinued, however, after a committee formed at the request of President Gerald Ford concluded UFOs weren't a threat to national security.

SIGHTINGS ON THE RISE

Sightings have doubled in the last couple of years, Willnus said.

"This major increase shows there's something going on," he said. "It's driving the interest in the number one question: 'Are we alone?' Are there other intelligences out there?

"After studying UFOs, it becomes obvious we are not alone," Willnus continued. "I base that on the fact that there are 200 sightings every day around the world. There's pictures, photos and movies. It's not a hoax when these crafts can disappear before our eyes. Or fly at over 1,000 miles an hour and make a right angle turn - or, stop on a dime."

Willnus also refers to a case involving former Novi resident Nancy Tremaine, who had described being abducted by a UFO off Orchard Drive near Meadowbrook Road in the 1960s. Former Novi Police Chief Lee BeGole, who spoke to the Novi News last year at age 93, didn't see the UFO, but he was on duty at the police station the night the incident occurred.

BeGole said an off duty officer told dispatch he saw a strange object overhead and police dispatch took multiple calls from people who said they also saw a strange object in the sky.

If you ask your 10 best friends if they ever had a UFO experience, Willnus said, 10 percent would say, "yes."

"But, people get laughed at once they say that," Willnus said. "And then they say, 'I'm not going to share that again.'"

NOT ALWAYS OUT OF THIS WORLD

He does note, however, that 90 percent of reported UFOs can be explained by something other than an extraterrestrial visit. The "UFO" might actually be a blimp, a flock of birds flying at night or even the planet, Venus, because it's the closest to Earth and moves quickly.

"The other 10 percent, we're not sure what they are," Willnus added. "I think a good many of those are that we are being visited by intelligent life off the planet Earth. Look at the evidence. The evidence is, overwhelmingly, there is a UFO phenomenon that we don't understand at this time.

"I'm getting up there and I want this story to break before I pass," he said. "Some people in the U.S. government are aware we are being visited. This is a cosmic Watergate where there is a cover-up keeping this from people. The best thing that could happen is if governments, including the United States, would come out and say, 'The UFO phenomenon is real and don't panic, because they don't appear to be here to harm us.'"

Veteran Ufo Maven Larry Bryant Enlightens C2C Listeners

C2C listeners received a rare treat in the wee hours yesterday morning (Sunday's show) as long time UFO pundit, Larry Bryant graced their airwaves!

Over 50 years ago Bryant began making inquiries to the military machinery regarding what they knew about UFOs (then Flying Saucers). The young Virginian was a founding member of the then "Air Research Group," and wasn't buying what the Air Force/government was selling then, and he doesn't buy it now!

Some might describe Bryant as an antagonist to the powers-that-be with his never-ending "official catechizing" under the guise of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); however, I deem him as a UFO stalwart who has a "never quit" attitude in attempting to pry the truth from the PTB.

For those of us paying attention, young John Greenewald (The Black Vault) comes to mind when FOIA's are discussed, seeing that he has literally filled his "vault" with thousands of documents culled from the deep, dark depths of government archives... retaining the moniker as "expert" in these matters would be argued by few; however, who does John call on when "he has a question" concerning FOIA minutiae? You guessed it-none other then UFO sage, Larry Bryant!

Larry's spot on C2C was precipitated by a revelation made by a caller from a previous show, which aired last month on the 3rd; experiencer/author Whitley Strieber was the guest. At the tail end of the show, during the "call-in segment," a man, who said his name was "Bob" made what some might consider a ground breaking disclosure-he was in possession of film showing then President Eisenhower, along with none other then "Howard Hughes" inspecting what he described as "people laying on stretchers and they weren't from this earth...."

Larry who was listening to the show, in true form didn't waste any time; he immediately fired off a FOIA request to the Eisenhower Library requesting, "access to all Eisenhower-related UFO-E.T. film footage held" by the institution. Ironically, in what might be called the most expeditious response in FOIA history, a reply was mailed out the very next day (of receipt of the FOIA), maintaining that they "do not hold motion pictures, still photographs, or records of any kind documenting President Eisenhower's alleged inspection of alien bodies or UFOs."

Pertaining to his recent interview with Noory at C2C, Larry wrote:

At 3:30 a.m. EST, Monday, March 2, 2009, as I was in bed listening to George Noory field calls from his audience, my phone rang. It was producer Tom Danheiser, who asked if I were amenable to joining in for the show's fourth hour (which had been billed by George as a

"breaking news" segment). It turns out that I happened to be the trigger for this "breaking news" - specifically via my recent series of freedom-of-information requests to several federal agencies for access to any Eisenhower UFO-E.T. records they may be harboring. (It had been two years since my last C2C appearance, so I obviously let Tommy know my eagerness to chime in.)

In the ensuing discussion, George led off by endorsing my campaign to tie "caller Bob's" case to the public's growing demand for full governmental disclosure of UFO-E.T. reality. I explained this opportunity by noting that "Bob's" brave - and selfless - step forward gives us "a 'big foot' in the door of UFO secrecy." George took care to note that "Bob" has specified one proviso for his sharing the film's content with C2C upon his imminent return from Europe - i.e., that the C2C organization must refrain from any commercial exploitation of that content. He seeks no financial gain in this matter from anyone or for any reason. Now, what does that tell you about how to proceed with assessing the credibility and other value of "Bob's" story? For my part, I suggested that George photograph the two (incoming) film canisters' insignia and any labels/serial numbers thereon - for later forensic investigation. His plans call for posting a key excerpt from the film footage upon the C2C web site ( http://www.coasttocoastAM.com ).So, is Bob and the alleged canister of ET/Eisenhower/Hughes film the real deal... or is it another prank/hoax aimed at the C2C's listeners, and subsequently we Ufologists who perk up when such things come to light? Time will tell.

On the other hand, one thing is for certain-Larry Bryant is the real deal, and C2C would do as all a great service in not waiting so long in between visits!

Nasa Details Upcoming Mars 2020 Mission

NASA on Tuesday revealed details for its upcoming Mars 2020 Rover, saying it expects the craft to not only search for signs of past life, but collect samples and return to Earth. The agency's current Curiosity rover is already actively looking for past life, and the 2020 craft will further expand on those efforts. The initiative will also be used to demonstrate technology for future human exploration, NASA said. NASA said it will use a design similar to Curiosity's to minimize costs-it also knows Curiosity's design will work seeing as the intrepid rover has been on Mars for nearly a year. Previous and current missions, including Curiosity, have found plenty of evidence suggesting Mars at one point may have supported microbial life, and the 2020 rover will carry on that groundwork. The agency plans on holding an open competition for the rover's payload and science instruments. Once that's all set, it's just a matter of successfully launching and landing the craft on Mars, where it'll use its instruments visual, mineralogical and chemical analysis down to a microscopic scale, NASA said.
