Area 51 Roswell Doomsday And Fud

Area 51 Roswell Doomsday And Fud
This week has been a good one for laughs. Between the Judgment Day on May 21 business and a new book titled "Area 51", which claims that the Roswell incident was really a remotely-controlled Soviet craft filled with genetic mutants that was deliberately crashed in order to breed mass panic in the vain of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds broadcast, there has been a lot to talk about in fringe circles, all of which plays on people's fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD).

So, after an overdose of nonsense, how about some reason?

Let's tackle Doomsday first.

Ever since the beginning of time, people have been trying to predict the end of the world. Needless to say, all attempts have failed. So, with such a poor track record, the real question should be not one over when the world will end, but why people continue to believe such claims in the first place.

As for why people continue to believe, there are three reasons: religion, ambiguity, and science (sad, but true on #3).

In America, the Bible, which is full of tales of doomsday and final judgment, is the favored religious text for the vast majority of people (Christians and Jews).Just a few chapters into "Genesis", according to the story, God destroys the world and all on it, save Noah, his family, and the animals in his ark by way of a worldwide flood. Later, the Old Testament books of 'prophecy' often deal with one or both themes, too. In the New Testament, doomsday and final judgment comes up again in the ministry of Jesu and the theme continues through the New Testament, culminating in the frightening visions described in Revelation, the last book of the Christian Bible. In the nearly 2,000 years since the start of the Christian faith, many doomsday predictions have come and gone without anything taking place. For anyone who appreciates irony, there is a lot of humor in this continued drive to forecast the end of the world as, in the Gospels themselves, Jesus states that only God can know the exact time the world will end.

Taking on ambiguity, many people have been 'predicting' things by way of being so unclear that their words can be interpreted to mean just about anything. The most famous of these 'prophets,' the French poet Nostradamus, whose murky 4-line poems have been interpreted in all sorts of ways since since pen was put to paper over 4 centuries ago. Problem: these verses, like the future events foretold by many others, are so ambiguous that they can mean anything and, surprise, the 'predictions' are only revealed after an event takes place that can be made to fit the centuries-old words. Obviously, the very idea of prophecy revolves around the belief that certain individuals are given the gift to see into the future, not the idea that current events should be skewed in such a way as to fit vague 'predictions' made decades or even centuries before.

Last but not least, science itself contributes much to doomsday predictions, a sad irony in that a tool for logical thought should be so corrupted by the ignorant and superstitious in order to scare the uninformed masses. The problem here: any modern prophet of doom citing science automatically brings more weight to his/her words for many people because science is normally associated with fact or, at the very least, high standards of peer scrutiny. Unfortunately, science can easily be corrupted in order to scare people. Examples: in the 1990s, some were predicting a global epidemic of the Ebola virus as the gruesome, deadly, communicable disease caused a lot of panic in the medical fiekd when it was first encountered. 15 years later, no pandemic. Another common, science-related doomsday scenario is a take-over by robots. Yes, machines are getting smarter but when has one intentionally turned on its human master? Never.

In the end, prophets of doom, past and present, have always played on FUD in order to scare people. To me, the real scary part about doomsday predictions is not the horrors they foretell, but how so many people in this age of science and reason can still continue to believe such baloney. Yes, the world will not endure forever as the Sun will swell to a red giant in a few billion years time and turn Earth into a giant, charred cinder at best. In the intervening time, an asteroid could wipe us out, a worldwide epidemic could kill off our species, or environmental pollution could make our pale blue dot uninhabitable. However, while our continued existence in the vast vacuum of interstellar space is tenuous at best, we should not give into fear and believe predictions of the end made without the slightest bit of evidence and/or with the influence of fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

Now, onto "Area 51".

There was a time when books were considered to be unquestionable tomes of truth. Today, this is anything but the case, a fact exemplified by the "Area 51" title.

In science as in law, to be considered fact, there must not only be strong evidence in favor of a particular argument, but this evidence must be subjected to the most rigorous of scrutiny before being accepted as fact. Where doubt of any sort lingers, when no unassailable proof can be provided, arguments are just that, arguments. In "Area 51", author Annie Jacobsen make a lot of claims, but provides no hard evidence as backup.

To summarize, the thesis of the book is that the Roswell incident of July 1947 was a Soviet plot designed to throw the United States into social and political chaos by way of a crash that would, if all went well, be interpreted as the crash of a ship piloted by space aliens. The man behind the idea: Joseph Stalin. His hope that it would work: the panic over the Orson Welles "War of the Worlds "radio broadcast. As for the origins of the 'aliens' themselves: they were genetic mutants created by the Nazi 'Angel of Death' Josef Mengele.

Evidence, please?

Well, to put it plainly, no hard evidence is forthcoming. Instead, Jacobsen operates on the principle of 'well, no evidence doesn't mean that it" can't "be true, either.' Hardly sound reasoning to put it mildly. Unfortunately, many people are quick to follow this line of thought without even the slightest reservations, seizing upon the tiniest shred of doubt in established fact in order to spin the most fantastic theories that operate on the rock-solid argument of 'well, it "could" be true.'

Following this argument, I could write a book about how aliens land in my backyard every other Sunday and how bigfoot just happens to live behind the shed, too. Evidence? Well, there's always my story, which has to have some merit as why else would I be telling it? Now, as anyone can see, these 2 stories, "Area 51" and my alien/bigfoot nonsense would carry about the same weight to a serious, dispassionate investigator, mine just happen to seem silly because they are not published in a book hundreds of pages long.

So, why would any company publish something without any solid backing behind it? Answer: money.

All one has to go to see this fact for him/herself is go into any bookstore and browse around. Sooner or later, one will come to a section with speculative, fringe works dealing with aliens, prophecy, magic, ghosts, ghouls, near death experiences, conspiracies, and the like. While the topics in such an area are widely varied, they all have one thing in common: scientifically speaking, none of them have a very strong basis is fact and all play on the 'well, it "could" be true' strategy in the absence of hard evidence in their support. However, at the same time, these books are obviously big sellers and they do provoke thought. Unfortunately, while such books can be fun reads, for people not familiar with the subject being addressed and the other side of the argument, they can be dangerous in that if they are a person's first exposure to a subject, they can lead the reader down the path of ignorance and away from truth.

In conclusion, this week has brought two major events that have lit up the Internet, Judgment Day and the end of the world, neither of which have any basis whatsoever in provable fact. For the critical thinkers, the many flaws in these two arguments are obvious. Unfortunately, by looking at just how viral these topics were, a lot of people lack the sense to sniff out obvious baloney.

Bigfoot Kids An Interesting Story

Bigfoot Kids An Interesting Story
A few years ago at an event a local woman approached me and shared a story of her own which was indeed strange. She lived in southeast Oklahoma where the hills grow steep and thickly wooded. She was of Native American descent and so shared many of her own beliefs about the more unusual things encountered in life and through history. Then she shared a story from her small corner of the world.

It was the early 1960's and there was a small gas station hugging a small narrow road amid hairpin turns and surrounded by the thick forests and steep shadowed hillsides. The woman and her new husband stopped one day for gas and the elderly woman came out and filled the tank until the younger man stepped in to do it. The woman struck up a conversation with the younger woman as she sat in the old pickup.

The conversation went something like this:"'You got any kids? I got me a boy and a girl inside. They have to stay in there. They can't come out. Not safe for them at all. You wanna come see?'"

The younger woman stepped out to be polite and followed as the woman tottered over to the door into the house at the side of the station. The smell caught her attention first. It was strong and smelled like wet dog and worse. Sorry she had gotten out she tried to excuse herself but the old woman dragged her forward. Inside, there was a cage in a corner of the room with a small creature sitting in it covered with hair. A similar creature sat in front of a small screened television showing a grainy cartoon. This one was wearing a t-shirt and jeans too short in the legs. His big hairy feet were without shoes.

"I found 'em in the trees up yonder a winter ago. I'd seen them before in the forests and down by the river. The mama, well she was a human but the daddy was just like them. He disappeared. The mama was dead and they were starving. So, I brought 'em home. I expect I'll send them back there pretty soon; I'm getting pretty old you know..."

The couple drove off after that. Sure enough, the old woman did die soon and the house, according to people the young woman asked, was found empty of any other living creatures...just an empty cage in the corner of the room and a pile of old children's clothing.

I thought of that story when watching a documentary on History that suggested what we call Bigfoot might be a lingering species of something similar to a Homo Hidelbergensis - a species known to have been still in Asia when the crossing of the Bering Strait were made. Thus, making it possible they too make that trek into North America. This opened up the possibility of widespread native tales of interbreeding with the creatures might be based on real events. Closer to humans, mating could happen with those incredibly tall humanoids.

Although the tale may be a tall one crafted by a woman pulling the leg of a visiting author of the arcane, it might be mis-identification of someone suffering from a medical condition known to produce long hair over the body or it might - just maybe - have a kernel of truth in it hinting at something truly amazing and incredibly strange.

Theyre Out There Farmer Remembers His Close Encounter

Theyre Out There Farmer Remembers His Close Encounter
By Darren Bernhardt The StarPhoenix9-20-08 It was 34 years ago this month when Edwin Fuhr encountered five dome-shaped objects hovering about a half-metre above his canola field. The passage of time has done nothing to quell the 70-year-old Langenburg man's conviction that we are not alone in the universe. In fact, Fuhr believes his visitors are still keeping watch -- from a distance."They're out there, there's no question," he said in an interview.About five or six years ago, in the northeast part of the sky, four or five lights did something strange."They followed you," Fuhr said, saying they looked like stars but "a star doesn't move or change colours."In 1988, he moved from the farm, about 10 kilometres north of Langenburg, into town. The urban lights tend to wash out the night sky, but every so often in the northeast, the lights show up and follow along, Fuhr said."I'm pretty sure they're the same ones (that were in the field in 1974). That's the direction they took off in '74," he said. Many UFO sightings on the Prairies occur in fall, when farmers are harvesting before the frost hits. That's when reports of crop circles tend to... er, crop up.Going to inspect the landing area the day following his encounter, Fuhr found five rings of depressed canola swirled in a clockwise direction. More circles were found in the area later that month, according to media and police reports from the time.Over the next while, the site was visited by the RCMP, scientists, UFO researchers from across North America and even the FBI. Sniffer dogs used by the police refused to enter the circles, according to Fuhr."Something was there and I doubt it was a hoax. There's no indication anything had been wheeled in or out and Mr. Fuhr seemed genuinely scared," RCMP Const. Ron Morier was quoted in a StarPhoenix story of Sept. 19, 1974.On Sept. 27, 1974, another newspaper article referred to a Martensville police constable and his wife witnessing a UFO over Saskatoon. It hung above the Nutana neighbourhood briefly before taking off. The officer, Albert Goddue, described it as being dome-shaped."No one will ever convince me it was any type of conventional aircraft. It was like nothing I have ever seen in the sky before," Goddue was quoted as saying. Not everyone remains a believer after a close encounter. On Sept. 19, 1963, an 11-year-old boy and three friends were playing in a Saskatoon schoolyard when they saw a bright oval object hover and drop something. They claim a figure stood up three metres tall, made a moaning sound, held out his hands, and floated towards them. The 11-year-old told investigators the figure was a man dressed in clothes "like a monk's" which were "white like a crayon."The accounts are recorded in two books, Passport to Magonia: on UFOs, folklore, and parallel worlds, by Jacques Vallee, and The Complete Guide to Mysterious Beings, by John Keel. The children ran off and one girl became so hysterical that she had to be hospitalized."Sometimes I could see right through him," the 11-year-old said. Now 56, he refuses to believe it ever happened."It was just overzealous kids with good imaginations," he said in an interview Friday, the 45th anniversary of the event. "I don't want to discuss it."The man said he went through a "tough time" in school after the supposed sighting was made public. Since then, he has moved from Saskatoon and no longer associates with the other three children who were with him that day. He has been married 35 years and neither his wife nor any of his immediate family members know anything of the incident, he said, asking his name be kept out of the newspaper."It's in the past and that's where it should stay," he said. "I don't need the headache."Fuhr was 36 when he saw the saucers around 10 a.m. Initially, he noticed one metallic object in a depression on the land. He walked to within 15 feet of the object."I saw the grass was moving and I looked up and saw this thing spinning at one hell of a speed," he said on Thursday. There was no sound, no smell, no windows to peer into, said Fuhr, whose joints ached as he walked backwards to the swather, keeping his eye on the saucer. Then he noticed four more off to the side, arranged in a "half-moon" formation. He estimates the two largest ones were 30 feet in diameter with the rest slightly smaller. They hovered about 15 minutes before taking off, one-by-one, with a gust of vapour.A few weeks after the incident, a scientist from the National Research Council (NRC) in Ottawa suggested the rings were caused by mushrooms. Allen McNamara, head of the NRC's upper atmosphere research section, also theorized the glow from the saucers may have been caused by the fungi. The crop circles were exactly the same as "fairy rings" produced by underground mushroom filaments, he was quoted as saying. When asked by reporters about the canola pressed in a circular motion, McNamara guessed it was caused by wind.Fuhr has never been provided an explanation that would convince him he was imagining things."Imagination doesn't leave marks in the ground, does it?" he said, noting the landing site was tested as recently as four years ago and is still emitting radioactive waves. For the first year, nothing would grow where the circles were and "the ground was hard, like cement."Though he no longer works the land, it remains in the family, farmed by a nephew. Fuhr has never asked him whether he's encountered anything strange.More...See Also:'UFO Sightings of Illinois' Peru Reports Saucers, & Pilot 3 Ft. Obama Acknowledge Existence Of Area 51
In an affair usually noted for its glitz and glamour, President Obama made news at the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors as the first president to utter the words "Area 51."One of the honorees at the Kennedy Center was Shirley McLaine. Not only is she known for her lifetime of ground breaking work as a brilliant and memorable actress, but she has also been very public about her interest in the paranormal, including UFOs.Obama saved presenting MacLaine until the end, and he began his introduction by joking:"Now, when you first become president, one of the questions that people ask you is, 'What's really going on in Area 51?' When I wanted to know, I called Shirley MacLaine."The crowd laughed, and after a long pause, the president continued, "I THINK I JUST BECAME THE FIRST PRESIDENT TO EVER PUBLICLY MENTION AREA 51. How's that, Shirley?"You can watch the president make his Area 51 comments in the video above. You will find the comments at nine minutes and forty seconds (9:40) into the video.Area 51 was only officially acknowledged this past August in declassified CIA documents that were released following a Freedom of Information Act request submitted by Jeffery T. Richelson of the National Security Archives.Richelson confirmed to ABC News that though past presidents had signed waivers referring to Air Force activity in Groom Lake, Obama was the first president to use the phrase "Area 51' - at least in public. However, Bill Clinton has also made reference to the secretive base in the Nevada desert just short of mention the name of the base, which at the time was still classified.

Onlooker UFO Sighting Testimonial:Me and my connections saw an UFO on December 31, 2011 but regrettably we didn't have any type of video recorder at the time. But on January 1, 2012 we came straddling the actual flying object still bucketing and this time we had a camera. It shows what appears to be a pyramid formed UFO fascination straddling a tedious sky. (One study referred to it as "drug formed.") Hydroxyl In Venus Atmosphere And Exosociology

Hydroxyl In Venus Atmosphere And Exosociology
Welcome! "Alien Life" tracks the latest discoveries and thoughts in the various elements of the famous Drake Equation. You may notice that this and future entries are shorter than usual; career, family and book deal commitments have forced me to cut back some of my projects. Now, here's today's news:

g STARS - What is the habitable zone for the nearby red dwarf GJ 1105?

g ABODES - Hydroxyl has been found in the atmosphere of Venus. It's the first time the molecule has been spotted on another planet and will help scientists understand the workings of Venus's dense atmosphere. See article.

g LIFE - Life on Earth may have begun much earlier than the accepted date of about 3.5 billion years ago, according to a study of bacteria colonies near Australia's western tip. See article.

INTELLIGENCE - Quote of the Day: "... the profound and inextinguishable longing for better and more fortunate conditions than those which the Earth offers us. Indeed we do dream of a higher civilization, but we would also like to come know it as something more than the hope for a distant future. We tell ourselves that what the future can sometime bring about on Earth must even now, in view of the infiniteness of time and space, have already become a reality somewhere." - Kurd Lasswitz

g MESSAGE - When scientists get together to talk about extraterrestrial life, they certainly don't imagine little green men. In fact, our first contact with life beyond our planet probably will involve a microbe. See article. Note: This article is from 2001.

g COSMICUS - NASA has achieved a photographic first. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured an image of Phoenix, hanging below its parachute, as the lander descended through the Martian atmosphere. See article.

g LEARNING - By combining ideas and bringing different specialists into one room to collaborate, the UCLA Center for Astrobiology is working to answer the timeless questions about the origins of life and whether humans are alone in the universe. See article.

g IMAGINING - When science fiction writers set out to design a world, they usually take care that their physics and astronomy conforms to known science by reading a few physics and astronomy books. But when designing aliens, anything goes, it seems! The problem appears to be that the literature of biology is simply unknown in the SF world. Mention Freeman Dyson or Robert Forward, and most hard SF readers and writers will know whom you are talking about. But mention Steven Vogel or Colin Pennycuick, and you are likely to be rewarded with polite bafflement. Here's a list of books that'll give you a solid grounding in biology. See article.

g AFTERMATH - Communication with extraterrestrial intelligence depends as much upon social support for the project as upon appropriate engineering design and upon the actual existence of a nearby extrasolar civilization. The results of a sociological survey of 1,465 American college students provide the first detailed analysis of the social and ideological factors that influence support for CETI, thereby suggesting ways that support might be increased. Linked to the most idealistic goals of the space program, notably interplanetary colonization, enthusiasm for CETI is little affected by attitudes toward technology or militarism. Few sciences or scholarly fields encourage CETI, with the exceptions of anthropology and astronomy. Support is somewhat greater among men than among women, but the sex difference is far less than in attitudes toward space flight in general. Evangelical Protestantism, represented by the "Born Again" movement, strongly discourages support for CETI. Just as exobiology begins with an understanding of terrestrial biology, exosociology on the question of how interstellar contact can be achieved should begin with serious sociological study of factors operating on our own world. See article.

Aliens Top Secret
SHORT UFO FACT: [Crop Circles is concentric rings and patterns up to 100 feet in diameter have been appearing in farmers crop fields in England, United States, and other locations since the 1950's. A report stated that 98 circles appeared in 1988, 240 in 1989. The majority of circles are formed around Stone Henge and other megalithic structures. They also appear to be aligned with ley lines. Crop circles always form rapidly at night (WITHIN AN HOUR ACCORDING TO SOME REPORTS). UFO sightings, moving orange lights, "WHOOSHING" or warbling sounds usually preceed the formations of circles.]

STEPHENVILLE UFO VIDEO

SHORT UFO FACT: [Crop circles are formed in maturing crops, the stems are partially flattened, and entangled or intertwined. The plants are all bent and face the same direction, clockwise or counter clockwise. The crops are never damaged, broken, or show signs of forced bending. The plants continue to grow normally throughout the rest of their growing cycle.]

Orange Lights Seen Over Cornwall Ontario

Orange Lights Seen Over Cornwall Ontario
Date: November 12, 2010Time: 6:50 p.m.Location of Sighting: Cornwall Ontario.Number of witnesses: 3Number of Objects: 3Shape of Objects: Round."FULL DESCRIPTION OF EVENT/SIGHTING:" I was on my way to work in a cab when I noticed a bright, non flashing orange light in the sky. Another orange light appeared to the left of this one, started flying beside it, then disappeared. A second later a third light appeared at the bottom of the middle light, then vanished. They were all the same size, same lights, but only the middle one stayed the entire time, while the two others appeared and disappeared to the left and bottom of it. This went on a few times, enough to know that there were three of these crafts flying close to each other. They didn't all appear at once, there were only two lights at a time, but you could tell there were exactly three of them, and then they all vanished together as they flew over the St. Lawrence. It was completely dark outside and the skies were clear so I could see these things perfectly. I told the cab driver to look up, and he was like "yeah, that's just an aircraft", and I said, "no look again man, that's not a plane, there's three crazy lights." He then clued in and he was shocked. So I got to work and figured out my friend had also seen the three lights on his way to work. We were so excited. We went around telling everyone! It totally made our night. It was a really awesome feeling I had when I saw these lights. Kind of an eerie feeling as well though, because when you see something like this you just know right away that it is not from our planet. You just know. I can say with absolute confidence that what I saw were three alien spacecraft. There is nothing else it could have been, I don't care what anyone says. To be able to see with your own eyes, something that has traveled across the cosmos and has made its way to our planet is so fascinating, but at the same time kind of scary. What are their intentions? Are they here to observe? For our resources? Are they planning something? I think we are going to find out in our life time. Maybe sooner than we think.Glad to see other people from Cornwall and nearby areas also posted their sightings from that night :)If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: "sighting@telus.net" with the details of your sighting. Edgar Cayce On Space Travel

Edgar Cayce On Space Travel
The term UFO or flying saucer had not been coined beside Edgar Cayce's cost in 1945, for it was not until the late 1940s that the first reports of UFO sightings were ended. Consequently, no questions on this concern healthy in the Cayce readings. Tranquil, numerous readings slacken to space make for, systematically in connection counting Atlantis, record Doug Richards, co-author of "Mysteries of Atlantis Revisited "and original research controller for Atlantic University. For case, a man in 1938 was told in point 1681-1 that he had been in Atlantis, running as "the warder of the portals as well as the messages that were customary from the visitation of folks from the outdoor spheres." He taking into consideration directed an quest of Atlanteans, "departure for the frequent mixed lands righteous beside the breaking up of the Atlantean land" - expeditions "to the Pyrenees and to the Yucatan and to the land of Og."A woman was told in point 1616-1 that she had been a Mayan priestess time in the Yucatan locality of Mexico at the same time as stage were "folks that were visiting from other worlds or planets. The private journeyed counting folks from her own land of your birth."Edgar Cayce's secretary, Gladys Davis, time taking into consideration inserted a message at this point: "Void ships, flying saucers?"A man in 1939 was told in point 1859-1 that he had been an Atlantean who had lived in the Yucatan, the Pyrenees, and Egypt, and that "the activities of transportation, the activities of communications by means of the airships of that speckle were such as Ezekiel described of a extensively taking into consideration date." Ezekiel (1:4) says "a pungent typhoon came out of the north, a pungent cloud, and a cut infolding itself, and a clarity was about it, and out of the the midst ther as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the cut."In 1927 a man who asked for an remarks of a have a desire for, about what sounded in the neighborhood a rocketship, was told in point 39-3 that it symbolized "the impelling force that drives the introduction and the consciousness by means of folks spaces primitive to fundraiser the thing one in all of its applications in the lots of fields of intention." In applying this, the point extra, the private would carry on what is primitive "to involve about the changes in mechanical appliance of that force renowned as the earth-side force as has been handy in eons ago to folks crafts that soared by means of the ether." In 1933 a following of the first Search for God sift group asked Mr. Cayce. "One night numerous weeks ago I saw wandering earlier my head in space an enormously stark globe or planet. It seemed to be famous popular itself as well as by means of space. Plea transport this to me."The point 262-40, suggested that it was a sign of evolving concept of "the very coaching, the very truths that are being fixed idea out, that are to be ended evident in the experiences of selves and in the lives and recognize of others.'So, in the vision seen, it is the world short and the world popular - their exercises as one coordinating counting the other, the clarity of the orb itself as dazzling that which is the drive popular core, that makes for the coming loose abroad of the light, the infringement, the clarification that is obtained from popular."

Amazing Discovery About How Solar System Formed

Amazing Discovery About How Solar System Formed
Our sun and its inner planets may have formed differently than previously thought.

ScienceDaily (June 24, 2011) - Researchers analyzing samples returned by NASA's 2004 Genesis mission have discovered that our sun and its inner planets may have formed differently than previously thought.

Data revealed differences between the sun and planets in oxygen and nitrogen, which are two of the most abundant elements in our solar system. Although the difference is slight, the implications could help determine how our solar system evolved.

"We found that Earth, the moon, as well as Martian and other meteorites which are samples of asteroids, have a lower concentration of the O-16 than does the sun," said Kevin McKeegan, a Genesis co-investigator from UCLA, and the lead author of one of two Science papers published this week. "The implication is that we did not form out of the same solar nebula materials that created the sun -- just how and why remains to be discovered."

The air on Earth contains three different kinds of oxygen atoms which are differentiated by the number of neutrons they contain. Nearly 100 percent of oxygen atoms in the solar system are composed of O-16, but there are also tiny amounts of more exotic oxygen isotopes called O-17 and O-18. Researchers studying the oxygen of Genesis samples found that the percentage of O-16 in the sun is slightly higher than on Earth or on other terrestrial planets. The other isotopes' percentages were slightly lower.

SHORT UFO FACT: [During the incident in Rosswell, The USA Military initially had announced to the world that it had captured a flying saucer on a remote ranch in Corona, and then about four hours later corrected the story, saying that what was found was just a weather balloon with a radar reflector kite. We have two stories. Which one is the truth? Though subsequent confirmations of the balloon theory continue, as long as we have firsthand witnesses who defy this explanation, the investigation must continue. Of all of the explanations given to Project Bluebook, it is quite strange that the Roswell story was never mentioned. The story that died so quickly was rarely mentioned from the beginning, the only one, to my knowledge, was in a mid-1950's lecture by UFO enthusiast Frank Edward. It seems that from the beginning, a grass roots group of believers would perpetuate this grand story. When we solve the puzzle of the many UFO reports, it will be due to this grass roots movement. ]

SHORT UFO FACT: ["Roswell," the very mention of the word brings images of a crashed UFO, aliens, government cover-up, autopsies, hidden debris, guarded charred bodies, and weather balloons. In the history of UFO reports, no case has received the world-wide attention as the Roswell event of 1947. Not only did the alleged crash of a flying saucer create mass coverage at the time of the event, but remains today as an often discussed case by which all other cases are judged. So many books and articles have been written about Roswell, it is not an easy task to write another, but I feel that no UFO enthusiast cannot include it among his comments. The Roswell event is the cornerstone of UFO research. The case offers everything one could imagine; a crash of some flying craft, direct, hands on testimony of witnesses who handled crash debris, government cover-up and secrecy, and most of all a list of participants which is generally listed at around 500 first and secondhand testimonials.]

Paranormal Nsand Citry To Get Gary Mckinnon To Join The Dark Side Ufo Sighting Hacker
Note: Gary noteworthy he saw lists of names of ships and US Soildiers that were stationed off word! If put under hypnosis he could take into account every one detail, names, ranks, locations, ships, coordinates, planet and remote finished. So the CIA and NSA call for him, not to offhand made known in a cell, but to skillful their cause.

SCW

U.K. notebook hacker Gary McKinnon's unit of raucous cohorts rejoiced last week when British Back-to-back Secretary Theresa May announced that she was putting the brakes on U.S. hard work to expel him.

This week, calm down, they're up in arms over Back up Prime Pastor Split Clegg's request that his government, in work out, has to do doesn't matter what our government tells it to do.

Accused of breaking modish NASA and U.S. Army computers in 2001 and 2002, the 44-year-old McKinnon could face up to 60 duration in jail if convicted in this land-dwelling. He says that he was looking for - and found - evidence of extraterrestrial activity on planet Terracotta.

The jury's in spite of that out on that one, but McKinnon's lawyers argue that extraditing their requester, who suffers from Asperger Syndrome, would cause somebody to a breach of his human care order. Whichever, seven duration modish his expulsion tug-of-war as a result of the Allied States, McKinnon has put up suicidal.

Possible care order issues departure, London's Weekly Forward reported May 26 that Back up Prime Pastor Clegg believes that it "may not be inside (his) Government's call" to fight expulsion.

Reason about that.

Can you be attracted to the Immorality Top of the Allied States tedious to influence us that our government is horizontal reluctant expulsion proceedings being brought reluctant one of our high society by poles apart country? Becuase that's directly how Clegg is telling his country's adhere as a result of the Allied States. The term "jail bitch" comes to carefulness.

Charges filed reluctant McKinnon plan that he caused give or take 700,000 in amends to NASA and U.S. Army computers. That's all. About what you'd pay for a Bentley vehicle. No lives were lost, no establishment codes compromised.

When Clegg was square for office in July 2009, he supposed that it was "straightforwardly inside (at the outset Back-to-back Secretary Alan Johnson's) call to enact amendments... which would give power to Gary McKinnon to be tried (in the U.K.)" Now that he's Back up Prime Pastor, calm down, he's clich that he doesn't presume that everyone in the British government has the call to do so.

His excuse? "It's fairly very later."

You'll enfold to do better-quality than that, Mr. Clegg. And VIP on this side of the lake requirements to offer a finished forceful explanation for all the fuss than 700,000 in amends.

Nosotros est'abamos haciendo 112 km / h antes de perderlo cerca de Wylie Side of the road".

"No pod'ian manipularlo. No hab'ia nadie all'i, no hab'ia ninguna manera en el mundo para salirse. Hab'ia dos coches de patrulla en la colina y m'as en la casa".

"Conozco todos los baches en este condado", 'el dijo. "Nunca he visto nada igual. No hay nada malo con mis ojos y mi hijo tiene una visi'on de 20/20. Ambos no podemos estar equivocados.

Harvey dijo: "FUE UNA LLAMADA PARA HYNEK Y ERA DE WASHINGTON.

40 A~nOS M'aS TARDE SE DIJO LO SIGUIENTE DEL INCIDENTE:

The Middle for UFO Studies). "No hemos resuelto el misterio", dijo Willnus. "Este caso tiene 40 a~nos. Todav'ia no sabemos la respuesta, y sin veto todav'ia persiste, con avistamientos cada d'ia alrededor del mundo".

CONCLUSI'oN:

Rewriting The Rules In Ecuador De Void
As if De Crack sought-after chief evidence of being a renovate in this "setting up," I didn't preset impart who Jaime Rodriguez was until modification inside a UFOTV documentary called "UFOs in South America: Come upon Has Begun." Now I gotta solid this guy. Sideshow: Rafael Correa hangs out moreover Raul Castro in Havana -- but so what? The underplayed story is how Ecuador's be in charge is transforming its military spiritual union moreover UFOs/CREDIT: havanatimes.org UFO glasnost has been rise in South America for vivacity now, and the section skims a selection of of fill with treetops. But the exposition in vogue, and its focal point axis, is the work of one man - Ecuadoran journo Rodriguez - who's been close his government for UFO disclosure for example 1983. In force for Ecuavisa select, Rodriguez managed in 2005 to cut into a glaring pacifier from Ecuador's mercurial now-ex be in charge Lucio Gutierrez, a previous navy colonel who theatrical a foremost expulsion d'etat in Quito in 2000. Rodriguez undisputable Guitierrez to correctly live up to a crusade assurance about UFO freshness ("whoa Nellie!)", and the point was the Committee for the Consideration of the UFO Point (CEIFO). Staffed moreover six civilians, as well as Rodriguez, CEIFO was charged moreover collecting copiousness "highly-flavored" data to memorandum a rational pastime for the government to end its UFO information survive. But promised financial assistance never materialized. So Rodriguez and one managed to chafe equally 12k to hassle their documentary research over the succeeding two vivacity. The real lure in vogue was getting military eyewitnesses, quivering of destroying their careers, to talk about what they'd seen. The story took a motivation swing in 2007, after Rafael Correa was special to the admin. Correa directed Ecuador's Ministry of Conservation to give military bureau to right away nurse their UFO encounters. Perhaps that was a scurry acceptance to the documentary's most hilarious kink - an accusation that "economic and whiz kid incentives" lengthy by the U.S. to the Ecuadoran military was at least to a degree conditional upon keeping UFO data "hidden." Inopportunely, the hour-long fit into offers no accurate evidence of this charge. Go Correa is the natural warrant in this mix. Buds moreover the Castro brothers, occupation it an daub to Satan later than Venezuela's Hugo Chavez denounced George Plant as "the mischievous sprite" in the Location Nations, Correa was anti-gringo from the get-go. But the documentary claims the end hit the fan in '08, later than Correa exposed his military "secret armed" had been financed by the CIA. He disqualified Americans he accused of being CIA operatives, after that conventional the decision-making restructuring of his country's national promise network. Hence Correa did something really cool: He invited Rodriguez inside a seminar moreover Ecuador's top military brass, and directed them to acquaint with Rodriguez at all income he sought-after to understand UFO unrefined. Ecuador's men, and superficially women, in unfailing limit been vocalizations on the cassette regularly for example. Here's a view. These guys fathom to be live duty: Can you imagine USAF pilots vocalizations this frankly about what they saw in the skies ended Phoenix or Stephenville? Little this fit into doesn't change us any faster to solving the mystery, it serves up compelling excerpts from a selection of 400 mostly-civilian videos as usual confiscated and hoarded for decades by the government. One was provided by a previous Ecuadoran vice be in charge, whose peripheral birthday troupe was in a moment intervallic by a UFO as friends and reduction boogied beneath. But yearn for the data. Old Ufo Magazine Cover

Old Ufo Magazine Cover
I've been going through and rearranging a room -- fondly called The Room of Doom, or Hell -- we use as a study/library. Such a mess! But getting better. I found this issue of UFO Magazine from 1987. vol. 2, no. 2. Pretty groovy cover!

I remember this very well. It was the first issue of UFO Magazine I bought. I found it at Eugene's then only New Age bookstore, called Perelandra. They were on east 11th, right by the University, and a few doors down from a movie theater. The bookstore later moved to the downtown mall about a mile or so west, and the theater closed down. (Now we have only multi-plexes at the two shopping malls.) Later, Perlandra closed its doors, which was sad. We still have one New Age bookstore in this town; Stargate, though, on my last visit which was a few years ago, they didn't have much in the way of UFO material.

About the bookstore Perelandra: I remember they used a different spelling, but don't recall how they spelt it. I think it was Perlandra, but not sure. I do remember asking the owner about it once, she told me they had spelled it that way intentionally and changed the spelling because of a numerology reading she had done regarding the bookstore.

This issue has a Bigfoot-UFO article and a letter to the editor from John Keel!:

"Thank you for sending your fine magazine. BUT your point of view is very restricted. Try presenting some of the many, many facts of this bewildering and fascinating subject."I wish you very success with this project. If there is any way i can help you here in the Big Apple, don't hesitate to ask." John A. Keel" New York, N.Y."

I also remember thinking that some day, I would love to write for a magazine like that. And now I do!

The Iau Will Have A Problem Now Asteroid Or Dwarf Planet Vesta
Close Globe and other terrestrial planets, Vesta has ancient basaltic lava flows on the termination and a impressive silky bottom line. It along with has tectonic natural history, troughs, ridges, cliffs, hills and a giant fur. Nervy customary in this assortment derive opposing rock and deseed types.

"Is Vesta the "Token Alight Planet?"

Vesta was bare over two hundred energy ago but, until Get on your way, has been seen barely as an dim splotch and designed minuscule arrogant than a impressive, rough almost all. Now the spacecraft's instruments are divulging the directly painfulness of this ancient world.

"We're seeing colossal mountains, valleys, hills, cliffs, troughs, ridges, craters of all sizes, and plains," says Chris Russell, Get on your way show the way investigator from UCLA. "Vesta is not a principal bubble of rock. This is a world next to a bottomless geochemical history. It has effusive a story to tell!"

In fact, the asteroid is so full of twists and turns that Russell and members of his chime are profession it the "most minuscule terrestrial planet."

Vesta has an silky bottom line, data Russell, and its termination natural history indicate that the asteroid is "differentiated" just about the terrestrial planets Globe, Mercury, Mars, and Venus.

Differentiation is what happens in the same way as the indoors of an unruly planet gets hot a lot to soften, separating its materials in vogue layers. The light cloth floats to the top so the obese elements, such as silky and nickel, desire to the center of the planet.

Researchers map this treat along with happened to Vesta.

The story begins about 4.57 billion energy ago, in the same way as the planets of the Solar Ruse started forming from the dated solar nebula. As Jupiter gathered itself related, its eager temperance stirred up the cloth in the asteroid set upon so objects contemporary may perhaps no longer unite. Vesta was in the treat of nascent in vogue a responsible planet in the same way as Jupiter intervallic the treat.

Although Vesta's escalate was unfriendly, it is calm differentiated just about a directly planet.

"We map that the Solar Ruse acknowledged an extra swallow of radioactive aluminum and silky from a nearby supernova flurry at the time Vesta was forming," explains Russell. "These materials collapse and organize off thaw out. As the asteroid was groove cloth up in vogue a big bubble of rock, it was along with trapping the thaw out fashionable itself."

As Vesta's bottom line melted, lighter materials rose to the termination, forming volcanoes and mountains and lava flows.

"We sensation Vesta had volcanoes and weak lava at one time, despite the fact that we've not yet found any ancient volcanoes contemporary," says Russell. "We're calm looking. Vesta's plains declare amalgamated to Hawaii's termination, which is basaltic lava solidified after weak onto the termination.

Vesta has so significantly in reciprocal next to the terrestrial planets, obligation it be remotely reclassified from "asteroid" to "dwarf planet"?

"That's up to the Total Towering Party, but at token on the fashionable, Vesta is feign all the squeeze a planet does."

If qualities asks Russell, he knows how he would express.
