UFO SIGHTING IN BLYTHE, CALIFORNIA ON JULY 10TH 2013 - ORANGE SPHERE LIKE WITH A MIST OR CLOUD AROUND ONE OF THEM

I was at home walking to my pool equipment as I came around the side of my house and could see South I saw it coming from over the River and just over the top of one of the River Front homes it looked like a strange orange color ball coming at me and just East of me and my house. I saw the same objects three week to the day just later in the night it shocked me that time at first then I ran to get a camera this time I just ran to get the camera. When I got returned to the back yard it was almost even with my house it was just East of me flying slow and not high 500 feet or less I would say they are about 25 to 305 feet across it may even be 40 feet across. The object had what looked like a cloud or mist of what I would have to say is energy around it and it moved like in waves or like it was jumping slow then a bit faster then it looked as if it slow down again then jump or move faster that is why I say it looked as if it moved in waves. I was able to take some pictures of it as it past me it made a slight bank or changed the flight path just a bit to the North East just as it past. I was looking at the pictures I just took on the cameras small monitor but I could only see a orange dot. I when back to my pool equipment I looked South again and here comes one more WOW I could not believe it this object was just a bit more East on its flight path but was moving at the same speed this one did have as much of the cloud around it. But it was the same as object I just saw less then three minutes before. I took some picture of it also as it past. I have not changed any thing at all with the photos. One of the photos # 002 there is so much in the picture if you don't zoom in to much you can see round red balls above and below the object you can see a square of orange yellow white light and at the front of the object it looks as if there is some thing hanging down from it and what my be windows in the front above the bright light. When I took the pictures it looked like it was a strange orange ball flying but it is so much more much you only see the out line of the ball it has a flat bottom and it is a little harder to make out but there is a dome shape top I saw none of this. The object at the back and at the center you can see one large circle and a cone in the center of the circle and a area shaped like a V that looks cooler the rest on the bottom of the object. There is also one other smaller circle just to the side of the the larger circle. At no time did ether object make a sound at all and the strange orange color ball thing is really to hide the craft. This is the third time and four objects right here the first was in March then three weeks to the day before 7-10-2013. Each time the crafts are flying slow low and come out of the same location going the same way I think that there may be many more flying over the community I live in. The photos I took #002 is the best UFO picture I have ever seen not because I took them because the craft was so close you don't need to zoom much to see so much detail and by luck the date is right below the craft. In photos # 005 and 006 you can see what I many by the craft moved in waves. I can say I am nerves because I took some with the flash on and I could be located very easy if someone would want to fine the location the pictures were shot from. I am happy for web site like this so the story and the location with the pictures can get out for all can see. If this craft is U.S. WOW I have only seen thing that fly in the sky with wings and motors and they make noise but this has none of what you would say is the normal at all. Again I have not changed in any way the pictures.

The Book Of The Damned 1919 By Charles Fort

The Book of the Damned was the first published nonfiction work of the author Charles Fort (first edition 1919). Dealing with various types of anomalous phenomena including UFOs, strange falls of both organic and inorganic materials from the sky, odd weather patterns, the possible existence of creatures generally held to be mythological, disappearances of people under strange circumstances, and many other phenomena, the book is historically considered to be the first written in the specific field of anomalistics.

The title of the book referred to what he termed the "damned" data - data which had been damned, or excluded, by modern science because of its not conforming to accepted guidelines. The way Fort sees it, mainstream scientists are trend followers who believe in what is accepted and popular, and never really look for a truth that may be contrary to what they believe. He also compares the close-mindedness of many scientists to that of religious fundamentalists, implying that the supposed "battle" between science and religion is just a smokescreen for the fact that, in his view, science is, in essence, simply a de facto religion. This is a theme that Fort would develop more heavily in his later works, New Lands and Lo! particularly.

Fort was one of the first major writers to deal extensively with paranormal phenomena (see parapsychology), and in that aspect at least, The Book of the Damned should be considered an important work. It should be viewed as a formulative work, perhaps understandably, as it is his first major book. Though Fort's uniquely acerbic writing style is already in evidence, and there are plenty of interesting phenomena to read about, Fort's theories (as such) are only beginning to be developed, and Fort tends to ramble in this book more so than his later ones. Still, it's a very readable book for those interested in this subject, and a solid introduction to Fort and his works.

The first few chapters of the book deal largely with explaining Fort's thesis (as mentioned above). As a particular instance, he cites the strange glowing in the sky worldwide, which supposedly resulted due to the 1883 eruption of the volcano Krakatoa. Fort shows that such phenomenon had in fact preceded the eruption by several months, and suggests that the scientists, who had been puzzled by the phenomenon initially, used Krakatoa as a convenient explanation to something that they could not previously explain.

While Fort has a particular interest in strange "falls" - focusing quite a bit of the book on the falls of fish, frogs, and various unidentifiable materials - he does not focus exclusively on this category. He also has chapters discussing the findings of "thunderstones", which supposedly fell from the sky during lightning storms; a discussion of evidence for the existence of giants (huge oversized axes too big for any person to use) and fairies (so-called "fairy crosses" and "coffins"); a brief chapter on poltergeist phenomena; the disappearances of many people (including the supposed disappearance of several hundred people in a shelter during the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake; the bodies of the "missing" were discovered in late 2006; he also briefly mentions the famous case of the Mary Celeste, which he would detail much more in his later Lo!); a rather long section on a number of purported UFO sightings (this book was written well before 1947, Kenneth Arnold, and the start of the modern UFO craze); and sums up with a mention of the famous "Devil's Footprints" mystery in England in 1855, also citing a number of similar cases.

Solid sightings cited in 'UFOs'; serious investigation needed

When I wrote my book about officially documented UFO reports, I fully expected the skeptics to react. That's why I was careful to focus only on the very best evidence from the most credible sources in "UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record." Since 95 percent of all sightings are eventually identified, the book is concerned only with the remaining 5 percent - those UFO events that have been thoroughly investigated, involve multiple witnesses and ample data, but still cannot be explained.

That didn't stop James Oberg, a space analyst for NBC News, from complaining that the book was based on a "questionable foundation."

In the biographical note appended to his commentary, he notes that he spent 22 years at NASA's Mission Control and has written books about space policy and exploration. But he neglects to inform readers of something UFO researchers already know all too well: that he is a founding fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI, formerly CSICOP), a group whose aim is to debunk UFOs and any other unexplained phenomena that challenge our familiar ways of thinking.

For many years, Oberg, while retaining his stance as an objective student of the UFO phenomenon, has been a consistently vocal skeptic. His long list of articles dealing with UFOs date from the 1970s and are posted on his website under the heading "space folklore," which accurately sums up his attitude towards the subject. He may be qualified to serve as an unbiased, expert consultant on Russian or Chinese missile systems, but not on UFOs.

The solar system's innermost planets are about to put on a beautiful show.

This week, Mercury is emerging from the glare of the sun and making a beeline for Venus. By week's end, the two planets will be just 3o apart, an eye-catching pair in the deep-blue twilight of sunset.

The best nights to look are April 3rd and 4th. Go outside at the end of the day and face west. Venus pops out of the twilight first, so bright it actually shines through thin clouds. Mercury follows, just below and to the right: sky map.

Venus is an old friend to most sky watchers; Mercury, less so. The first planet from the sun spends most of its time wrapped in painful sunlight. Seeing it so easily, and in the beautiful company of Venus no less, is a rare treat indeed. The next apparition this good won't come until Nov. 2011.

By that time, however, we'll have much better view of Mercury all the time.

Sign up for EXPRESS SCIENCE NEWS delivery NASA's MESSENGER probe is en route to Mercury now, and in March of 2011 it will become the first spacecraft to orbit the planet. During a year-long science mission, MESSENGER will beam back a stream of high-resolution pictures and data obtained using seven instruments designed to operate in the extreme environment near the Sun. This kind of coverage of planet #1 is unprecedented.

Three flybys of Mercury by MESSENGER in 2008 and 2009 have already revealed much to be excited about.

For instance, Mercury has a long, comet-like tail, which whips around the sun in synch with the planet's elliptical orbit, waxing and waning with Mercury's distance from the sun. The tail is made of Mercury itself. Atoms and molecules are knocked off the planet's surface by solar radiation, solar wind bombardment and meteoroid vaporization, forming the stuff of Mercury's thin, elongated atmosphere (or "exosphere"). Researchers say it's the most active planetary exosphere in the whole solar system.

MESSENGER has also found that Mercury's magnetic field is "alive." It is generated by an active dynamo inside Mercury, probably akin to the magnetic dynamo of our own planet. Buffeted relentlessly by solar wind, Mercury's magnetosphere is a hotbed of magnetic reconnection, the same basic physical process that energizes auroras on Earth and sparks solar flares on the sun. Mercury probably has its own brand of geomagnetic activity waiting to be discovered when MESSENGER goes into orbit.

Even Mercury's pitted landscape is interesting. Giant Caloris basin dwarfs almost every other crater in the solar system, and it is ringed by volcanic vents that paint the landscape with subtle but lovely colors. Towering scarps tell a tale of a "shrinking planet" wrinkled in response to past contractions. And the whole globe is dotted by an amazing variety of craters with names such as Rembrandt and Picasso.

Mercury is definitely worth a look. The show begins at sunset.

I've always been pretty much ok with the fact that there are three types of "Close Encounters" one can have with a UFO. To review, a Close Encounter of the First Kind involves seeing a UFO within a distance of 500 feet. A Close Encounter of the Second Kind is just like a CE1K, with the addition of physical evidence left behind by the UFO, like scorch marks on the ground, mutilated cattle, radioactivity, etc. A Close Encounter of the Third Kind is like a CE2K, with the addition of UFO occupants, like this little fella here:

It's a Close Encounter, all right, but which Kind? 3rd? 4th? 5th? 8th? No, definitely not 8th.

This system has always covered all the UFO encounters I regularly investigate and/or experience myself, so it came as a surprise to me that someone had come up with a Close Encounter of the Fourth "Kind and then one of the "Fifth Kind!" And, I just checked wikipedia and the"y" are up to "Eight Kinds of Close Encounters!"

Enough!

Do we really need eight Kinds of Close Encounters? Let's look at the facts, as we Certified UFO Field Investigators are fond of saying: A CE4K, they tell me, involves an alien abduction. A CE5K involves a human having a bilaterally-intentional interaction with a UFO occupant, otherwise known as hanging out in a flying saucer. A CE6K results in the human witness' injury or death, which often happens to people who are stupid enough to hang out in a flying saucer. A CE7K involves human-alien breeding, resulting in the creation of a hybrid being. A CE8K also involves human-alien breeding, but in this case both the human and the alien are really hot, and you would so want to be the human.

Myself, I'd happily stick to the original three, but suddenly I find that I can't. I've just been assigned a new UFO sighting to investigate, and my MUFON State Director thinks it might be a CE4K! Of course, that's what she thought about the last case she assigned to me, and that didn't go anywhere.

Here's the case, in a nutshell: Way back in September, 1997 a guy was driving home from work late at night on a deserted country road. As he neared his neighbor's farm, he saw a huge black triangular object hovering just below the tops of the trees behind the farmhouse. It had bright colored lights on each corner, and made no sound. The witness parked and got out of his car, then immediately got back in his car, terrified, as the object flew overhead and then disappeared out over a cornfield.

He says the sighting has haunted him since then and he finally decided he had to tell someone. He also adds this chilling note that I feel obliged to share with you, because it could make a difference in your life someday: "People always say they want to see a UFO up close like I did," he says. "NO YOU DON'T. It's not cool, it's scary as hell, it's not how you imagine it, trust me."

I still don't know where the CE4K abduction thing comes in, but I'll find out. I'm an Investigator, and that's what I do.
