I wasn't in a hurry, so I decided to take in the atmosphere. While sitting at my booth, I was going over notes I had transcribed during the trip. At that time, I didn't have a laptop, so everything was written by hand.

The oyster bar wasn't a tourist trap by any stretch of the imagination. Most of the patrons were locals...and most of them were three sheets to the wind. One fellow caught my attention. I assumed that he was in his 60's...with a deep tan and weather beaten face. He took some interest in me since I stood out from the regulars.

"'Welcome young man...how'd you find our paradise?'" He started laughing and chugged on a bottle of Pabst. I told him I was traveling north from Miami on my way home to Maryland. I had occasionally thought about my conversation with KC over the years. But when I recently came across my notes from that session, I started to wonder if more recent events could fit into KC's statements and the NASA enigma.

Is NASA about less exploration and more military / defense? I've never been a NASA conspiracy theorist...but I can understand, to a point, where the unknown could raise suspicion. Will religious leaders try to capitalize on First Contact, using fear and suspicion to rally their followers? Will political leaders do the same? Brin says that there are likely to be versions of all these behaviors. I agree that it is na"ive to think that all of humanity will simply embrace First Contact. There may be an initial period of shock that resembles such a reaction. However, civil unrest, perhaps even severe disturbances, would most likely build over time in some parts of the world. The first months and years after First Contact may be extremely volatile for our civilization.

Brin ultimately suggests open contact with caution and expectations of quid pro quo. It seems unlikely that extraterrestrials will want nothing of us, while offering us the knowledge of the universe. What will we have to offer them? We will only find out if the introduction ever occurs.

This policy was adopted by other similar organizations. But this policy is erroneous in many ways. First of all, the presence of fraud does not preclude the possibility of genuine psi effects. Furthermore, as Batcheldor (1984) has shown, a bit of "cheating" helps to make people believe that they can succeed in producing psi effects. Such (unconscious) belief is a critical condition for producing psi effects. Also, it is important to note that the production of psi effects is helped when consciousness is "neutralized," so that the unconscious can act with less constraint. Such neutralization may occur through psychological dissociation, which can be pathological or not. One of Fodor's key findings is that the distinction between genuine psi effects and fraud is not a useful one. What produces psi and what motivates one to enact fraud are very often coming from the same unconscious processes. Hence, as Fodor wrote about the case he investigated, "some of these happenings were self-evidential, establishing an excellent case for the supernormal range of the powers of Mrs. Forbes's unconscious, others were of a compromising character but psychologically still very interesting. They made me incline to the analytical view that dissociated persons can work on two levels of consciousness. They may attempt fraud on one and continue it on the second in a state of genuine trance; they may also produce supernormal phenomena. In other words, the table sittings have led me to conclude that there is a genuine psychic angle in the problem of fraud and that the life of a dissociated personality must be considered as a whole and not split into departments of the genuine and the fraudulent" (p. 81). From the point of view of UFO studies, such finding is important. A rash of UFO sightings is often accompanied with hoaxes. Yet, the symbolic content of those hoaxes is most likely feeding from the same socially shared unconscious processes. Therefore, one should not exclude fraud from the data when investigating a UFO wave, or a rash of sightings, as they provide important information. A good example of this is the Gulf Breeze incident of 1987-1988. The most common opinion is that Ed Walter engaged in fraud, as miniature models of the UFO photographed by him were found in his house. Yet, this does not preclude the possibility that he may have had a genuine UFO sighting. But what is more interesting is that it started a series of sightings in the region. Some of them were most likely night tests (or training) of seaborne missiles by the U.S. Navy (which in turn can be seen as an interesting synchronistic event), while others sightings could have been genuine psi events. INTERPRETATION OF SYMBOLSAnother interesting element in Fodor's book is the issue of interpreting symbols. As he wrote "there was a process of reasoning behind the apparently senseless act of the Poltergeist. It is not easy to follow it and it is never certain that our interpretation will be correct, but a little light is better than none at all. [...] The very choice of Mrs. Forbes's apports [teleportation] impresses me as a cipher in which her tragic life-story is hidden. From wherever she got them, whether they came to her by supernormal or normal means, they had a definite meaning; they were governed by unconscious association." (p. 217). Without going through all his analysis, here are a few examples of what he meant. Fodor was convinced that Mrs. Forbes' Poltergeist was linked to her repressed feelings linked to her past, as he discovered that she was victim of a pedophile when she was five. There were violet flowers appearing during the Poltergeist, which can mean "violate" (i.e. violated). There was coral appearing, which can be linked the choral that was singing when she was victimized. Her wedding night appears to have been very traumatic as well, although not because of her husband, but because of her past. Several objects appeared on their wedding anniversary. Fodor's interpretation is clearly influenced by the Freudian approach to psychoanalysis where sexual issues are central to interpretation. But his work shows that if one wants to interpret the symbolic meaning of psi events he or she must plough large (i.e. go much beyond the actual psi event) and look into a number of non-obvious symbols (like the word associations). As shown in the posts related to the Hill story, such holistic symbolic approach can be fruitful. However, when it comes to interpret symbols linked to expressions of the socially shared unconscious, through events in the public realm, Fodor's suggestions are more difficult to apply. In the public realm there are many more activities going on. It can be quite difficult to decipher what is relevant from what is not. Kottmeyer (1996) and Vi'eroudy (1977) noticed, however, that in the United States major UFO sightings tend to be related to concerns related to national security (which implies indirectly that we have a bunch a very psychologically repressed people in those milieus). To go back to the Gulf Breeze incident, we have here again another case that tends to confirm the interpretation key for American cases. It was one of the largest lost of life for the Navy since World War II. Emotions were certainly high on that day of 1987. These sailors died accidentally due to an Iraqi pilot who mistook the American ship for an Iranian one, but the U.S. Navy was there to fight the Iranians. Yet, at the same time the American government was accused of secretly selling weapons to Iran (Iran-Contra Gate). Feelings of betrayals among sailors were probably running very high. What is more telling, however, is that there was a similar lost of control and scrambling to regain it during the same time period in and around the Office of the President. "The Democratic-controlled United States Congress issued its own report on November 18, 1987, stating that 'If the president did not know what his national security advisers were doing, he should have.' The congressional report wrote that the president bore 'ultimate responsibility' for wrongdoing by his aides, and his administration exhibited 'secrecy, deception and disdain for the law.' It also read in part: 'The central remaining question is the role of the President in the Iran-contra affair. On this critical point, the shredding of documents by Poindexter, North and others, and the death of Casey, leave the record incomplete'. " (From Wikipedia) The Gulf Breeze sightings occurred in a liminal time, i.e. when the content of a major public report was known by a few key players, but not released publically yet while there was serious tensions about national security in the Persian Gulf (a scenario similar to the Barney and Betty Hill story about the Transport Commission's report and the Berlin crisis). Furthermore, it resembles a lot the October 1973 UFO wave, as there was a major conflict in the Middle East simultaneous to the Watergate scandal unfolding through the sudden resignations of the Secretary of Justice and his Deputy (as discussed in a previous post). It is less than sure. Over here in the U.K. I've been following with interest, the progress of the 'We the people' petitions, regarding E.T. disclosure in the U.S.

I'm an ex ad man, with over 25 years of hands on experience, in marketing & communications. Most of that time was spent, at top London agencies &/or their subsidiaries, at JWT, Saatchis, Publicis & O&M.

I must admit that when I read the wording of the first White House petition, it made me cringe with embarrassment, given that the UFO phenomenon, is now so undeniable & may turn out to be, a very big threat indeed. The wording of the petition smacks of a continuing mistrust in your government & the military. It's plainly targeted at getting the Obama administration to confess to alien contact & admit some kind of conspiracy that quite probably, harps back to the days of Roswell.

Call me simplistic if you like, but it seems to me, that the responsibility of the people today, must be first to get the Obama administration to disclose the current UFO presence & then to focus on any threat, that they may bring.

I can only think the first petition was pitched the way it was, in some forlorn hope & expectation that an admission by the administration, would provide a sensational & entertaining media scenario, from which money could be made from book sales! The fact is, that the content & tone of the Paradigm petition, sounded so much like witchcraft & hocus-pocus, that The White House, has snatched the opportunity

in their response, to finally nail the old 'alien/conspiracy' chestnut, forever! And who can can blame them for it, given they were offered such a glorious opportunity, on a plate! They must have clapped like seals, when they first got sight of the petition.

Whilst all this historic, catharsis effort has been going on, the more important & immediate threat of the UFOs there in our skies today, continues to be overlooked.

I guess from now on, we all need to promote the UFO issue more urgently, in order to meet the immediate challenge. The goalposts for E.T., must surely move, from now on.

To that end, those people who have taken the time to read my recent sighting report in '"The UFO Chronicles"', will know why we are getting increasingly concerned, about the growing number of UFO sightings, here in The U.K. They've been intruding into our airspace this summer, buzzing flight paths & busy airport stacking circuits. What's more, they've been doing so, in big numbers. In fact, they seem to have been using my own backyard here in Sussex, like a personal airport, just coming & going, as they please. This is not another conjured illusion, it's actually been happening, right here, on the picturesque, Sussex Weald.

Now, we can all continue the long & nebulous debates about the merits of individual UFO sightings across The World or we can accept that many are true & start putting our heads together to get something done about it! I would certainly vote for the latter. After all, many of us, have the future security of our children & grandchildren, to consider, & I for one, don't intend, to let them down.

Disclosure petitions, are all good & well but involve a lot of time & talking, & so far, they seem to have got us nowhere!

I understand that yet another two E.T. petitions, have now been posted on The White House website & that signatures to each, will now need to reach 25,000, before The White House will be prepared to respond.

It will be interesting to see, if either of them, ever get to reach this increased threshold, within the timescale? The fact that there are now two petitions up there together, may lead to confusion & possible cannibalization, of each others signatures!

The urgent way ahead now, must be for an organization such as MUFON, to canvass the support of congressmen, representatives & the military. UFO's should not be about making book deals, they're about public safety.

If I've read the opinion polls correctly, then I believe that over half the U.S. population, already believe in an E.T. presence. If MUFON were to hire in some top-notch PR professionals, they would then have the means to canvass congressmen & the like, & begin to convert the huge amount of public recognition in E.T. into an open debate about the current UFO presence, & therby, begin to circumvent the current hiatus & reluctance of both The White House & the military, to disclose & discuss the UFO phenomenon. When the issue is firmly on the table, the media will no doubt amplify it's 'noise' considerably & The White House & the military will be placed under increasing pressure, to recognising the mood of the nation & in turn, begin to open up on the whole UFO issue & make it an urgent concern & priority.

My best guess is that the U.S. 'powers that be', are fully aware of the increasing UFO presence in our skies today & they are reviewing it's status, as & when, intelligence comes their way. I was just returning from a walk at night when at about 9:30 PM, I saw a white UFO almost straight above me or to the west. I would guess the altitude to be between 70 and 90 degrees above the horizon. I thought it was a satellite at first. I lost sight of it at about 9:35 PM or 9:40 PM or so, but when I lost sight of it, it was still at high altitude, to the north, at about 45 degrees above the horizon. I looked at a satellite passing chart at www.heavens-above.com for sightings above magnitude 5.0, but no objects listed fit what I saw.

Location of Sighting: Keighley, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Number of objects: 12

Shape of objects: Round.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were sat in our living room and looking out through the window when we saw approximately 6 round, glowing objects passing by. We went outside for a closer look and counted approximately 12 in total traveling a little slower than an aircraft, There was no noise in the sky. There was no pattern to their to formation. Some were grouped but some were far apart. We called the local airport to see if they knew anything that would explain what they were but they could be of no assistance. We obtained photos of the objects and a neighbor took video footage.

Ufo Sighting In Itu So Paulo On May 26Th 2013 Cigar Form Ufo Aprox Distance From The Ground 20 000 Ft Stationary

Me and my brother were in the car while my mother was driving, I was lookimg to the sky (in a 70 inclination from the ground) through the window, when the car stopped the object continued stationary, it was bright and shiny, my brother did also see it, we both calculate a distance of approx. 20.000 miles or 6-10km from the ground. The object was too big, about 1 mile of length and 100 meters height, it was a bit inclined in a upwards direction and was absolutely stationary. We both were delighted with such view, I'am 22 years old and he is 20 years old. After about 10 seconds this giant object was gone. There were no clouds and the sky was absolutely blue and beautiful, it could not be a balloon nor an airplane because of the calculated high and distance from the ground.
