I attempted to photograph it, but I was directly next to a street lamp and that is all I could see on my phone's screen. I called a friend who's apartment patio overlooked the West and asked if he could see it, but he replied that he could not. After about 2 1/2 - 3 minutes, the object had passed over me and disappeared on the SW horizon.

Hello Sir - I found you through a Google search. I also contacted someone local but they never got back to me. Maybe you can explain what I witnessed.

On Sunday December 16th, my wife and I were driving through a residential area in Chico, CA. It was around 11 PM - we had been visiting a friend for the holidays. I'm not very familiar with the area but at the time we were on Vallombrosa Ave. On the left there is a wooded park.

We had just driven under the Golden State Highway overpass when suddenly a large dark man-like creature leaped out from the woods onto the road. I quickly stopped the car as my tires screeched on the roadway. This creature was massive and had dark hair all over it's body. I don't know how wide the road is but it was across in 3 large leaps. As it reached the north side of the road it turned and look directly at us. My wife was terrified and crouched down in her seat. I caught a brief golden-colored reflection from it's eyes. I hit the excelerator and quickly continued driving.

I had driven about 100 yds or so - then noticed that either this creature was keeping pace with me or that I passed another similar creature on my left side crouched down by the road. I still think that this was another creature because it looked smaller in size than the creature I witnessed previously. By this time I was very concerned and scared. I was hoping that there would be no traffic lights until we reached the turn off to get onto the highway.

I live about 80 mile north of Chico in an area where there have been a few Bigfoot reports but I have never heard of any in Chico - let alone in a residential location.

I talked to my friend in Chico and he said that there was a sighting in his area back in the 1990s but nothing recent. Most of the sightings in his county (Butte County) have been in an area 30 miles southeast of Chico near Lake Oroville. I checked out the BFRO website and verified what my friend said.

Then Brown changed his mind and decided that he hadn't quite had enough of zombies and gave birth to Bigfoot War II where, in the middle of the war between man and Bigfoot, hordes of zombies rose up and attacked both humanity and Sasquatch alike. I'm not making this up.

The first novella of the Bigfoot I saga is 121 pages and the rest range from 78 to 154 pages per book. This is pure horror with copious amounts of cutting and slashing. One reviewer said he kept looking for some character development but he never found any. Another said there are very little twists and turns, just more blood and guts.

As far as reviews go, for the first book in the series he has 137 of them on Amazon which average 4 1/2 stars.

Between Bigfoot War 1-5, Bigfoot War: The End, Planet Sasquatch, and a few miscellaneous titles like Rain: A Tale of The Bigfoot Apocalypse and Screamin' Mad Squatchies, I think there are 11 titles and spinoff titles in the series. The author seems to have run amok right along with his Squatchies.

Is this really science fiction? Technically you can call it SF Horror but then I haven't read one of the books to give an honest opinion. But that is about to change unless someone stops me. Someone please stop me.

But wait, there's more.

To top it off, this series is being adapted for the big screen. Would I lie to you? Casting is done and production started in October. It's now in post production with a release scheduled for January 2014. And guess whose staring in it?

That's right. Judd Nelson will be playing the part of Dr. Leonard Evans.

But hey, what happened to Lance 'not bad for a human' Henriksen. I know he was going to be in the original cast and, after all, starred in 'Abominable' in 2006 so he's a logical choice. What a tragic loss. Well maybe he awoke from a stupor and got hit with a wholesome dose of common sense.

So I couldn't help it. I bought the first book. I just want to see what kind of writing this is even though I detest most horror novels. I said most not all. Who knows maybe he's a hairy raising action writer who loves his subject matter.

As for the movie, when it comes out in January of next year, will it be a rental or theater viewing? Will I spring for Bigfoot War in IMAX 3D DBOX? It's not impossible.

First line: "The stink was terrible."

Oh my.

I'd like to say that I'll add to this post once I've finished the first book in the series but whether I do or not entirely depends on where that terrible stink was coming from.

Asheboro Meeting Notes

Thanks to all who attended the November MUFON-NC assembly in Asheboro. We had 34 in result, a number of who traveled from Raleigh, Charlotte, and Western NC counties. Support Chief, Lakita Adams, presented a 45-minute wait march that included MUFON administrative information, previous UFO photos, and recent photos from NC cases. Collective Clique Chief, Israel Curiel, united his evaluation of recent data from the Warfare Be in charge of Prepare. Alvin Bly, Term Group Department Examiner from the Charlotte area, reported on a number of of his recent cases, and answered questions from the audience. Existing were a number of witnesses challenge, who had submitted sighting reports to MUFON in the gone blind date.
